76ers role out an entire new set of players every year. There is no "growing" their own players or signing guys and KEEPING them for 3-4 years. Hard to have a culture or comradery.

I don't understand how he doesn't get that we've needed length and athleticism and Tobias at wing was what was holding us back forever, perfect pick with knecht falling, passes him up, avidja could have traded for him but passes him up, he hates length/athleticism with our wings when that is biggest reason why we lose to the celtics for years

You sports talk radio guys say what ever you want and if you are wrong nobody remembers or cares if you are right you act like Nostradamus. It's possible they picked the guy because he was the most tradable guy available at #16 and they plan on using him in a trade. Who knows. I trust Morey as a GM more than I would trust Gargano as a GM.

I wonder why 15 other teams passed on dalton knecht if he was that's good. Teams like OKC, Heat, and the Spurs who normally draft well also didn't like him.
bad argument. I can name tons of players who were drafted lower than projected in all sports. Dude shoots 40% from 3 pt range in a league that is all about the 3-pt shot
@mptr1783 McCain also shot 40% from 3pt he's just 3in shorter. My only point is that other teams obviously didn't like something about him for Knecht to drop as far as he did. I'm not saying he's going to be a bust, but some people are treating Dalton knecht like he's a can't miss prospect and we don't know how any of them will translate to the NBA, we just have to wait and see before we jump to conclusions.

I agree that they are being harsh on the pick but I get the frustration in the redundancy of skill set. Hopefully McCain can truly develop off the ball and, if he can, I think it's a homerun

Yo, I watched Maxey turn the ball over like 5 times in the last 2 minutes in the Knicks series. Big shot maker, but not super solid with the rock and decision making. I like McCain in that spot. I feel like we're way too big on Knecht, and not realizing that our best ball handling and shot creation for others, besides Maxey, is coming from Lowry and Cam Payne. Also...heard this on the hoop collective: "if the lakers are running pin downs for knecth over AD and Bron, then theyre in trouble." Same should be said for the Sixers. If youre looking for your 16th pick to be a major offensive contributor (mainly scorer) right now, then youre already in a world of hurt. Say what you want about Jaquez, but we beat them in the play-in.

My hope was renewed actually when they axed Doc and I’m all in on Nurse so speak for yourself. I think these picks are Nurse picks too along with Morey. I never thought they’d win with Doc and Harden was a clown show, who probably plays worse defense than McCain will! McCain is exactly what I think they needed and posted about it multiple times and I believe Maxey and him will play together because it was obvious to me you are wasting Maxey unless you have backcourt players that can keep up with him and his elite speed at which he plays the game. I just thought they could have traded back a few spots and still picked up McCain ✌🏼

Darrel Morey truly does not understand basketball or human beings. He understands how to read spreadsheets and do math. This man actually said that James Harden is a better score than Michael Jordan. Darrell does not factor in fit or personality when he evaluates players at all.

Anybody mad at this pick has never watched Jared McCain play. It’s just that simple. That kid is a baller. He’s good enough to contribute right away bc of his shooting ability & toughness.
