Sembalun, a village located right next to an active volcano, Mount Rinjani (3726m) which is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. Among the mountains I have climbed in Java, Bali and Lombok. Mount Rinjani, Bromo and Semeru are the most impressive. My trip to Rinjani in 1993 when I was still in high school was the most epic. I even named our daughter "Rinjani" to commemorate that trip. She's 18 now and going to study in Java (we now live in Batam, Riau Islands). She was determined to climb Mount Rinjani someday, her mountain 😁 as she's Rinjani's child. Thank you Ania has shared this amazing adventure 😍
