Xross Hard Enduro 2024 | Wade Young Starts Strong | Day 1 Highlights

On June 20, 2024, the Hard Enduro World Championship witnessed a thrilling Day 1 of the Xross Hard Enduro Rally in the Serbian mountains. The blazing sun and dry forest climbs posed a stark contrast to the notoriously slick and loose rocky streams and valleys. Riders embarked on a relentless 100km route from the paddock in Zlatibor, navigating challenging GPS routing and checkpoints.
Wade Young showcased an incredible performance, securing a GASGAS one-two finish, followed by Michael Walkner in second and Sherco’s Teo Kabakchiev in third. The race saw Young overtaking Kabakchiev by checkpoint five, steadily increasing his lead to finish 2 minutes 34 seconds ahead at the final Red Bull arch. Walkner, starting further down the order, made efficient progress to secure second place.
Teo Kabakchiev, despite his strong start, faced challenges leading the course, finishing third. Mario Roman finished fourth, while David Cyrian claimed a top-five position. Graham Jarvis faced a significant setback with a mechanical issue, ending the day in 15th place.
This intense day of racing highlights the skill and endurance of these riders, as they battle for crucial points in the Hard Enduro World Championship.

I do like the POV from the pros but I am beginning to like the coverage from videos along the course. It is a better perspective because you can see their body position and just how they ride the course. As long as you continue to get all the top riders in all the hard sections I’m a fan. Well done guys!

Pretty much proves the KTM, GasGas, Husky platform works way better when you take a guy like Wade and he improves 10 fold vs. when he was on a Sherco...same with Teo, he did great last year on a KTM but now not as good on a Sherco.
