Desinfects the grime which will kill the smell momentarily, but its not getting it out. The only thing vinegar is deleting is limestone build up but no organic grime.
@@alanguages For kettles its the right thing, you only fill water in those anyway so the only residue to deal with is limestone. In flasks the problem is different, there you bring in sugars and other organics which will sit there for a long time with ideal temperatures for organisms to grow. That stuff you just cant get out with vinegar alone
Every few days, I put just a few drops of dish soap in, and rinse out with piping hot water. I used to have hard water stains on the silicone seal on all my water bottles. Now, pristine perfection even after about 3 years of daily use.
This is the Emsa SENATOR CLASS Flask, it came like that with a real leather sleeve. However they changed it now to plastic/silicone... Sad that all the good things go away in this modern world
Dude, you’re a life saver! I thought for sure this was just some rando fake trick since it is so easy but it really works! Now I have a shiny new water bottle!!
Dishwashing soap is not designed to be able and clean something without the manual help of scrubbing. Hence you will not get a clean bottle with that. Dishwashing Detergent on the other hand is - thats why it gets the job done. With baking soda and vinegar you'll get a smelly volcano out of you bottle and you'll disinfect your grime but it will stay there and in a day or two will smell again.
To add, I personally don't think ANYONE should do this hack. The amount of cleaner you use for a full dishwasher should NOT be used on one singular water bottle. It's concentrated, and if not thoroughly rinsed out you could get seriously ill from ingesting. Like doing the tide pod challenge, but slightly watered down.
IMHO, you dont... If you can find the leaky spot and can reweld/solder it then you'd need a vacuum pump and attach some sealable nozzle to hook it up. All in all: I guess it just means to get a new one :/
After hot water is poured in , within two three minutes the whole bottle get heated and the heat of the water decreases like common glass bottle. What is the problem ??
@@JhosephineNilly Its best to avoid putting anything with sugar in your flasks to keep them as long fresh as possible. However, if you choose to anyway - that hack it cleaning it out no matter what 👍🏻
In fact no, lemon juice is a very bad option as you add sugar which will only add fuel to existing bacteria and fungus. After a initial fresh smell which will not last longer then a day it will be worse then before. But don't take my words for it - try it out on a grimed up bottle 🤢
This trick will kill your flask i have done it a few times on the metal flask.. it kills them I returned 3 to the shop before I realised it kills the flask
lucky you:) when you as negligent as me and forget your sugared tea with a slice of lemon in your flask for a month or two - then add some hot summer days in the equation: you are presented with some weapon grade stink 👌🏻
Maybe "dissolve" is quite the hard expression - but its VERY irritant stuff. Thats the reason all of that tabs are individually packed or wrapped with a water soluble wrapper!
Hot water and vinegar does the same thing. That is what I use for kettles. The bad smell and sediments are gone. Just rinse thoroughly afterwards.

@@unfinishedthought I never noticed. I did rinse it thoroughly along with air drying. I will look into it some more

If you got no problem with smells or stains its always cheaper to go for that option indeed. May I ask: Do you put sugared drinks in your bottle?
Thank you😅
you can also use baby feeding bottle cleaner. just use that and works like a charm
great idea if you have that around the house anyway:)
@@unfinishedthoughtIf you use the dishwasher tab someone could mistakenly drink from it. It's better to use a little bicarbonate of soda
@@marianmurphy4625 Well, thats ofc not nearly as effective as dish detergents.
I rather just make sure nobody drinks from it.
Awesome
@scrambledeggsandcrispybaco2070 Yes. A little of something like that. You'd be doing it often, so there's no need for anything drastic
I would have really appreciated it more if you named the enzymes in the dishwashing tab and why they are more effective, thanks!
I will look into that, so far unfortunately I dont know that 🤷🏼♂️
Enzyme r very specific about there ph and Temp for their enzyme activity.. I guess its all chemicals which r present in the detergents!
keep going bro you have great potential
Thank you! I really appreciate it:) 🙏
Where did you get the leather cover for your flask please?

Don't use detergent...use dishwashing soap...to take off the stinking smell...use baking soda and vinegar

Bro just started up the tide pod challenge again. “Stinky breath? Tide pod”
I thought it goes without saying to rinse it out after washing 🙏🏻😂
Its looks so nice
try it:)

Hi Eric! Thanks for your comment and suggestion 🙏🏻
You are very right that thorough rinse is of course mandatory.
any alternatives for a dishwasher tab?
Washpowder should do the trick as well, it works with the same principle 👍🏻
@@unfinishedthought Thank you 😁
A better option might be the tabs used for dentures.
might work as well, but who has tabs for dentures at home? 😂😬
Dishwasher Tabs work very well, are safe cheap and readily available.
@@unfinishedthoughtironically we do lmao and we have no idea where they came from 😂

Do you understand the principle of a thermos flask?
It's damaged. Buy a new working one
How ti remove hydro flask layer from bottle please reply
hydro flask layer?
Thank you very much brother
you are welcome:)
Is it just mine or you also have that smelly bottles?
I put a cola in my bottle and after that it was smell gross

its not killing anything buddy.
You know what material dishwashers made from the inside? Right - Metal ;)
but thx for the comment
It works, I tried😊
It works so well for many occasions:)
Put rock salt and shake.. 🕺🕺🕺🕺
cool idea! But I guess better not to do this with a glas insert flask 😅
I just put in cold water and it got away😅
