Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

Brooks played great and still missed another handful of putts that could’ve easily gone in. He could’ve shot -10!
I think he could of shot -12. Most of his missed putts barely missed. Made the course look easy today. Glad hes almost 100 percent healthy again. Prime Brooks is back I think.
literally he could have made par on 13 not going for it and holes two putts and shoots 63, i got a bag on him at 44:1
He also made a couple long putts so it really evens out. Let’s not get crazy. Played awesome today though

Brooks was locked in during the LIV Orlando tournament. He’s definitely one to watch here at the Masters. Don’t be surprised if he takes this.

How can you root for the fracturing of the sport? This exact thing (Cart/Indy split) destroyed indycar racing in the 90s and it has basically never recovered it’s popularity. For all the reasons people give, that’s the true danger for the sport that LIV presents.

Brooks looks very strong mentally and physically since his move to LIV Golf.
This is the first time you have probably seen him play in a couple of years. I wouldn't base much of one round - his physical problems are not over with from accounts I have read.

Brooks looks so confident with his wedges. Something clicked after that missed putt on 16. I think he's going low again tomorrow riding that putting edge.
I'm not a big Koepka fan, but I'm glad (a) he has a share of the lead today and (b) he's 7 strokes ahead of Rory.

Amazing round. Made a bunch of mid-range putts but also missed some. I think minus 7 is about right. Sure, if you turn some missed into makes, you can get to easily double digits under par, but then again, if you take some of those makes that were no more than 50-50 and turn them into misses, he could be minus 3 or minus 4. All in all, minus 7 is correct here. Adam Scott missed two reasonably short putts on 16 and 17, then bogeyed 18 to shoot minus 4, yet somehow he wasn't steaming mad.
I’ve not seen the others at -7 played but he could have been way ahead. A lot of shots that could’ve went in. Great round.
Rahm 4 putted the first, so he spotted the field a couple. Hovlind was rock solid. But Brooks looked amazing.

Koepka and Scheffler missed about 19 combined birdie putts under 15 feet wow. Look for these two for the final pairing on Sunday.

Watching him makes me wonder why there aren't just a bunch of his clones in the PGA tour. Like, where are all the guys with his height, build, and pure determination to win at the highest levels? I would think the PGA tour would be filled with guys like him but instead most players are either scrawny or out of shape.

When I saw Brooks show up with his chest out I knew he was about to set it off. I said it in my podcast (Fair Ones & Fairways - yes, that’s a shameless plug) if Brooks is healthy, confident and playing with a chip on his shoulder, he can’t be beat.
