Safest way is to change only one thing at a time. Like that you upgraded Bios first. I wouldn’t have done memory and processor at same time. That way if there is a problem, you know which one. Glad it worked for you. I have a 755, but it is mini-tower. It has a slot for graphics card but when I put in NVIDIA gt720, it would work for a while but eventually scramble the screen and need to reboot. Had to revert to on-board graphics.
@@UltimateDIY Hmmm. I didn’t consider that possibility. We go with what works. Maybe if I had used the same graphics card you did, it would be fine. Someday I’ll try that card in another PC and that will tell me whether the card was bad.
Hello good morning afternoon or night I would like to know where you buy your ram memories from this video I am interested since I have an equal computer equipment and there are no correct memories Or if you know the subject, can you tell me where the correct ones for the PC are sold. Cheers.....
Hi thanks for your reply. I would like to know then why does the tray eject when I press the button. Could it be the laser or the motherboard in the dvd?
The tray will eject as long as the drive has power. But if it does not show up in My Computer the unit is either defective or the data connection has a problem.
Try to make a bootable drive with yumi and load a free dos version on that drive. Then copy the bios update files also on the drive and run the executable under the ms dos enviroment. www.raymond.cc/blog/easily-install-freedos-in-usb-flash-drive-for-bios-flashing/2/

For the same price you will not be able to buy anything better than it, so there is no chance of i5s, maybe an i3 from the first generation if you are lucky. You have a few issues there: 1. Not enough ram. You need a minimum of 2 GB to run anything above XP. And when I say run, I mean run it normally, nu just power the computer on with it. 2. A 3GHz CPU would give you about 25% more processing power. 3. Smaller and older hard drives are really slow. A 500GB hard drive or, even better, a SSD would give you a huge boost in loading times. 4. Old GPUs are unable to run 1080p without a lot of CPU help and you need a C2D at about 3GHz to be able to play the video right just with CPU power.
The ethernet connectors on these fail often. I don't know why. The limit in ram is 4gb ddr2 total. The front and rear fans fail also. These are just terrible machines , they either work or don't. They're not worth spending over $20 to repair. The fans probably are over $20 now. The fan under the hdd is a problem too.
I'm planning to buy a motherboard Dell optiplex 755 to substitute my older Mobo that is defective. I have a Mobo Foxconn. Core 2 Duo e7500 2 x 2gb RAM DDR2. Can I buy optiplex 755 0DR845 to make it alive again? Is it compatible to my desktop?

looks like a nice pc to work on.

Hello. I bought them from a second hand parts site in my country
Hi I am having a problem with my DVD driver. It is not listed. What and how do I sort this out, as I can't use my DVD at all. Thank you
Hi. The drive might be defective.

hey so did you put 8gb all together ? and also is your pc 32 bit or 64 bit
This was a long time ago, so, sadly, I don't remember details about this pc.
If the PC is 32bit it will not recognize 8GB.
What is the CPU support list with the latest bios? Will it run E7xxx and E8xxx series CPUs?
If it's not specified in the video, I do not know. Try to search on forums.
How did you put bios onto USB stick? I have a problem with that?
And how did you start it, I'm currently using puppy Linux as OS, so my USB won't start like yours..

These things are around 150$
For that price you can get a used 3d gen i5 prebuild with no gpu

No, it is not. This PC is not meant for any graphic intensive tasks, so it has no support for anything related to that.
