I have it it is a good truck for beginners but it is one of traxxas's cheaper trucks so it will be a little slow so like maybe 25mph out the box but it is really tough I've had mine for 3 years and only have replaced the knuckles and the motor is really tired. But it is definitely good if you are a beginner.

A hydraulic steering conversion for this would be a first.
I'm working on a hydraulic steering for my 10x10 (More so I don't need to figure out signal repeaters and reversers for 4 steering servos, when I can just use 4 pistons instead)
I would knock it off the obstacle when he said " am I going to be the only one to make it "!

I did same mod too on SCX-10, totally satisfied. At first try, I paralled the steering signal and inverted it with a inverting servo board used on V Tail. But the response sometimes bit lagging. So I use extra channel to imitate steering channel and inverted it. It work good. I even made some profiles to choose whether using front wheel steering or all wheel steering or even only rear steering.
Let's be honest he put the loudest servo he had on that just so everyone knows he has rear wheel steer 🤷♀️🤣

4 wheel steering isn't illegal, it just should be in an unlimited class.
There really should be more classes for scalers. Something like Super Stock, Modified, Unlimited. Each with ever loosening rules but still having fundamentals in place like twin frame rails, no TVPs ir MOAs etc.
Even the tire classes are flawed. Going by wheel size I.E. 1.5, 1.9, 2.2 doesn't work. I've got 1.9s that are taller than some of my 2.2s!
Agreed, the CR-01 came rear-steering ready. All you need extra is the servo itself

Did anyone else realise that the wheel was rubbing on the rear spring it wasn’t the servo at all😂
It was the servo, it was barely moving and it still was making that noise, the wheels would have to be spinning significantly faster than they were to make that sound

Pretty good crawler for getting into crawling
No need. So many have been sold and used it's known to be a good crawler for kids, entry level or someone not totally interested in scale. If you think you might have even the slightest interest in a scaler buy the Everest Gen7 Sport instead.
I purchased 2 E10's for my boys when they got started in RC at 6 and 8. 3 years later they are building/built their own scalers. (SCX10 and Military Sawback). We took one of the Everests and stripped it's mechanicals and put them on an Integy cage chassis. Now lives on even further. The other we keep for nephews, friends and those wanting to "try it out". Great rig for the money.
Everest 10 isn't that good at all man there cool looking but all plastic gears inside even the lockers, crappy tires and almost any scx10s or scale crawler can out crawl them. See it all the time unless you buy a scale chassis for them and mod the crap out of it to. Better of spending the extra for a gen7 or 8 better yet get a axial or trx4 sport. Heck the ecx barrage is a great priace awesome on the rocks but again plastic lockers.

@@coltonroszmann9723 start with a ecx barrage gen2 rtr there not to high priced and you can mod it and learn with it. I have videos on pretty much all barrages lol Or If you wanna build 1 grab a scx10.2 raw builders kit I have 1 with videos on it on my channel. But you would need to buy some cheap electronics wheels/tires and a body to start. Very fun to build though.
Redcat gen8 and Traxxas trx4 both have builders kits for around the same price to.

Redcat rs 10 came with rear steer, adjustable linkage for better crawling, much longer chassis, I've got that same red jeep truck in an hpi venture

The rgt is also performing much better with the unbranded louise griffin tyres on the rgt pro kit(or at least tread pattern is the same) i have the stock rgt with those tyres and the performance on trail is epic

Billy Miller... good ole reliable Axial Honcho( orig), check out used ones @ a hobby shop or eBay. That’s what we did or I know u said1/10 but she’s small so look at the 1/24 axial deadbolt, their cute but tuff
To be fair, building that Banggood special would cost me about the same as a TRX4 in tiny Canadian pesos (most likely a bit more), so it really is about what you want to do in the hobby, not dollarios

I have a couple WPL Q/16 scale crawlers with the rear axles having been traded for front axles. Parallel servos and bingo. Ya got 4-wheel steering. A pretty cheap mod.

I got a savox servo and I’ve had no trouble with it yet.
Me and my friend bought one each to our trailfinders. His savöx 20kg did broke after just 3 weeks. My still going strong after 2 years.
Portal axle kits should only be allowed to use 1.9 medium size tires when competing with 2.2 straight axle kits. I hate that almost every new kit now use portal axles. It looks stupid when the body is from a car with no portal axles. Stock class with limited max weight should also be a class. Buying expensive brass upgrades can easily make this hobby very expensive.
Your cars are great, I ordered the 979b, it won't work and banggood makes me wait for months.. But I love your Vids!
Goals buy a banggood special and mod it with slightly higher grade axials for extra steer 😉👍

How ‘bout a car where the suspension arms go straight up and the wheels are turned by gears so there is loads of clearance and a channel to lower and raise it?
Take care not to over drive the steering with those axles. I've busted 3 CVD's at the joint as well as breaking a rear axle shaft
