How is it that growing up Pimentos had no heat, but now they do and that's accepted as the way it's always been? Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers them having no heat.
Great content my brother! I live in Florida now and my seeds came up for the first time in 3 years! Very excited. I really hope they grow. I'm following your tips! Wish me luck!
A question, once pimento start fruiting do the continue to produce fruit after reaping, how often if at all can one expect new flower/ fruit sets from the same plant. Ty
Hello from Maryland! I’m getting my garden in order and I can’t find any pimento (capsicum chinense) anywhere. I’m thinking of buying some from out local Caribbean grocery to sprout. You seem knowledgeable like a horticulturalist, do you know whether the peppers they ship here to us are grown away from habenero or scorpions? And if they get refrigerated in route, will that affect their growth?
I grow piemento in California but I have to start it on a warm mat. Once it’s planted outside and matures over summer it is tolerant to the cool winters here going as cool as 46 degrees at night. They are resilient if near a wall to protect from the wind. Like you stated I grown in 10 gallon fabric pots and move them to better locations in summer. I just came across your channel. Clear instructions and informative.
I live in CA San Bernardino, my plants died in the winter..tried to cover them.up,to no avail, did give me peppers the following summer, they were small as my pinkie finger.no seeds Or 1 seed only..
Hi. Great informational video. My question is do you leave the seedlings in the open environment or sheltered but with required sunlight? Thanks and keep up the great work.
This is a great guide! Thanks very much for posting. In the UK and missing pimento peppers so much, when my aunt gave me some, I saved the seeds and just planted them. Hope that they survive!
Very informative and well explained, fantastic job. I bought a pimento plant last year and planted it in a big planter, and I got lots of pimentos. So I started some seedlings indoors, now I'm waiting for warm weather to plant outside, oh,I live in Toronto. Will keep you updated
You are an excellent teacher. I am soooo glad I found your channel. Question, the wood compost you talk about, it should be raw shavings right? i.e. without any stain or varnish on it? Where does one get that not in any garden shop I assume.
This was nice and informative. Suggestion is a "tanks if contents of the points spoken on and possibly times to skip too. Also if it were process first and detailed explanations after would be cool. Thanks for sharing man ✌️
Fellow Trinidadian, you are studied and good, very good. Figuratively speaking, yuh neighbor is a liar and a macco about you! You are well good! Thank you very much for your sharing of hardcore knowledge!
My husband has not planted premento over 3 years the last time he planted it sold so cheep we had to abandon the feild the chemical prices are so high we use to pick around 28 to 45 onion bags of premento a week or cupple weeks
Plant premento into the ground you will need a little fast tack while its a little plant abermectin for the mites and trips king dragon also works fungicides are required for the plant to stay helthy a pepper plant will live up to a year or more but the purple salt for pepper works so good
I'm saying thank you for now but I'm eventually going to come back here. Is there any way I can contact you privately for advice? I have two plants I've been taking care of for 2-3 months now and I'm not sure if it's the direct sun it's receiving or what but they are dying 😢I need serious help before I give up.
Looks like I bought a north american pimento plant not a variety like yours. Oh well, but some good info on how to grow a pepper (first time doing a pepper)
Don't put your sweet peppers next to your hot peppers because they will turn hot instead peppers next nitrogen and calcium also potassium and they will produce plenty of peppers 🌶 thank you for the video.
2 of my pimento plants didn't do well at all....I moved 1 out of the full sun and it's doing much better......but d 2 I left I'm hoping they revive cause pimento plants are very resilient.
What will be even better, is that you take us through the different stages of growth until pimentos blossom...other than that, thanks for the info
How is it that growing up Pimentos had no heat, but now they do and that's accepted as the way it's always been? Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers them having no heat.

I had pimento planted In buckets. It send out a lot if flowers, but suddenly the leaves and flowers dropped out. What's causing this?
I also love the point of not using chemical fertilizers using the forest as an example. Thanks for teaching people how to grow food for themselves.
Wonderful content!

Is it true, that if pimento peppers are planted on the ground next to hot peppers it is likely the pimento peppers will be hot as well?
Yes this happens
Probably due to cross pollination?
Don't put your sweet peppers next to your hot peppers because they will turn hot instead peppers next nitrogen and calcium also potassium and they will produce plenty of peppers 🌶 thank you for the video.
