Why the emphasis on taxpayer money yet you don’t do so when it comes to the military industrial complex? Or other tax subsidies as with real estate vultures/etc.
Overall, I think this is good news and a good thing. The situation in Taiwan is pretty precarious. But just in general, American manufacturing is critical. Even if it's not China aggression… what if there's an Earthquake or a Corona Mass Ejection, what does that mean for computing? Then everyone will be complaining… why didn't the government do something?! Although… Intel… I have a Mac with an Intel CPU. It runs pretty hot and it's much slower than Apple Silicon. So, hopefully the government isn't wasting this money. Although, maybe this is the start of a redemption arc for Intel.
0:31 for some reason when I saw her put on that EV suit on, I was wishing she'd break out in a rap dance with Beasty Boys 'Intergalactic' playing in the background.
Frankly it makes sense. Intel can only produce 10nm chips, but now Chinese firms can produce 7 to 5nm chips and is lately reported also ramping up thier production by 45%, so please tell me how these things are added up.
The ethnic Chinese took overall in Chinese Nation ( many countries and province in south east Asia) control and continue to do so in future, the reason in more scientific numbers, big industry base and huge supply chain
I'm footing part of $60B for Ukraine, which before the war I wouldn't have no chance of pointing out on a map, I'm much happier helping bolster our high tech capabilities instead.
American manufacturing: using the most money, taking the longest time to produce the shittiest of products, yeah!

China aggression, that sounds like America aggression
Making more chips just to track its citizens.
Your tinfoil hat is on too tight
@@sirdiealot53 you’re a sucker if you think they aren’t tracking everyone.
It’s called production without consumers
Intel, you got comfortable and fell years behind your competitors and now need our money to stay alive. Shame on you.
Who would you prefer to buy from 🇺🇸 USA or China 🇨🇳
You mean Taiwan 🤦🏻♂️
it is gonna be like the air force where taxpayers are charged $90K for a bag of bushings?

Other developed countries subsidize industries for economic growth. It's necessary for success.
The only problem is - Intel is the only major chip maker in US. All the rest are in Asia TSMC of Taiwan, Samsung of S. Korea, ASMC of China and so on.
Come on, say the honest word: Subsidy.
It means the Computing Devices are within the reach of American Consumer.
Tech companies receiving government funding are pretty ungrateful for the funding that they are receiving.
Frankly it makes sense.

The US could have the best tech but they are giving away billions of dollars to foreign countries 😂
China likes that 500 billion trade dollars the USA sends them each year (As of 2024).
Actually most Ukraine money goes to American companies
@@sirdiealot53 Nope. We are paying government employee salaries and other expenses, it is becoming Pakistan part 2.
You're missing the number before 'billions'...its kind of relevant. .

socialism coming to the aid of capitalism?...like a professional sports complex
Everyone wins.
Something being tax funded doesn’t make that socialist.
Sweater vest is that you
communism

You footed a trillion to afghanistan and 500 billion to iraq...Ukraine is peanuts.Complaining about 60billion is endearing
us got comfy in general
Who is gonna buy it?
Defend Taiwan
I thought you guys called them fries?
Mmm semiconductor fries 🤤
