Totally understand what you’re saying about their voices. Hyunsang always always has that tinge of sadness in his voice when he sings. Like the fresh cut, with his higher notes, if you ever have time to check out his solo works, I found the song in his first EP sooooo sadd lol, well it’s titled “My Poor Lonely Heart” so it’s fair I guess lmao. Hyunsang always looks so melancholic that when he performs with a happy face it feels like a rewarding moment for the viewers hahah.
And yes! I’ll does have this mature experienced sound, that somehow in a way makes you feel like he’s telling you “it’s okay, this too shall pass, I’m here for you” kind of thing. And his solo album (EP) is dropping soon! His pre-release called “Liar” is such a good song I can’t wait what he has to offer in the EP.
I also hope more ppl find them, I’m so happy that you did and love them too!
Hyunsang's Poor Lonely Heart is really something. His newer tracks are a bit more mature and a little more upbeat sylistically. He's also written a couple of songs with YoungK from Day6.
My mom doesn't like kpop, or most music really (which is hysterical since she sings and plays 3 instruments) but She has said that hoppipolla's vocalists have very nice voices, and their music is better than most😂

The way you explained about Hyunsang and I’ll’s style of delivery really blew me away. I’ll literally talked about that several times in their radio interviews. It was their signature arrangement. If you watch their debut single ‘About Time’ performances especially, it was even more obvious. The way the verses were sung was to highlight the different of points of view of a person as a child (hyunsang’s parts) and a grown up lad (I’ll’s parts).
You can watch the interview + performance at Studio Music Hall (the same programme where you reacted to their Creep cover the first time. Choose #Clip 3. However my favourite About Time performance is definitely from Studio Flo. Hyunsang really went all out there.

Wait, their debut was literally that exact intention? Well then they nailed it throughout their performances because that's how I've always felt about them.
@@KpopPrince Yes! About Time was written by I’ll and his older brother Minue (a singer-songwriter/actor). It’s a story about a child who’s left/abandoned by his parent. Hyunsang sang as the child who’s experiencing the abandonment at the exact moment, and I’ll sang from the point of view of him who has grown up. Knowing these details really make me appreciate their arrangements and choice of lyrics/story better. Every time I watch their performances, I feel bad watching them for free.
the funny thing about hoppipolla is how hilarious and silly they can be off stage when they aren't just absolutely wrenching your heart to pieces with their vocals!! I'll is ridiculously funny and weird and as a whole they have an adorable quirky sometimes awkward humor with each other and it's just the best ^^ maybe if you ever have time on your own there's some funny subbed clips of them out there to check out!! :)
How is it that hoppipolla's songs and covers always make me feel so emotional 🥺They cd be singing Baby Shark and I'm pretty sure I'd be crying.

Thank you for everything you've said about Hoppipolla here, and I especially love your comment about I'll and Hyunsang being two different sides but blend together so well when they harmonize. These four together just make magic with their music, they're tremendous and I love them with all my heart ㅠㅠ
Our Song is indeed a hopeful and comforting song. I actually put a link to the English lyrics in my request in case you didn't see it! Very beautiful and uplifting words that Hyunsang co-wrote with Jayins, who is in a producing team with Hyunsang called Nodded. I hope you'll be able to check the lyrics out. Oh Hoppipolla. They're incredible. And I'lls voice is just so beautiful. Just as Hyunsangs. I'll did a stage at the show called Voice King which was just incredible. Full of emotions, I loved it. You need to see it
It always makes me so sad whenever I remember hearing Hyunsang mention how he had doubts about his own voice when he sings this well 😔 I hope he's been able to realize how loved his voice is amongst his listeners cuz seriously his voice holds so much emotion in it! And I'll's expressions while singing is always another reason why their songs always tear at my heart goodness!
I highly recommend listening to Hyunsang's solo stuff. He has an mv for Burning Sunset which is one of my favourite songs that truly hits HARD (and his voice oddly reminds me of The Guise of a Mother by Trash Boat in that song specifically)

Hyunsang was an artist I knew before Superband and his solo stuff is incredible... especially the video too for US!
I'll has a more hopeful tone to his voice too. A side note about I'll is his brother is also a musician! He was in a band SM had a long while back called TRAXX (sometimes TRAX) which was like fairy kei styling it was WILD! He acts a lot now, but is also the frontman of a band called The Midnight Romance.
Another note i'll add is that for another punch to the gut song wise is NELL - The day before...
