Toyota Yaris/Echo coil packs worked well on our MX5, you can get brackets to mount them directly on. Full sequential ignition and injection means no wasted spark or bulk fuel being sprayed when it's not being squished and lit up for maximum skids. 0.8mm spark gap and one range colder doesn't hurt either.
