She had a BLACK Wedding Dress | Dreamy Intimate Wedding at The Meekermark in Magnolia, Tx

Visually, this was the most unique wedding day I’ve ever filmed. In a world full of bright wedding day images, pastel flowers, and ALL white wedding dresses, it’s truly a creative whirlwind when a couple decides to flip wedding style on its’ head.
Red Velvet suit, black wedding dress for one half of the day, white skirt for the ceremony, black geode wedding cake, string quartet performing the Star Wars “Cantina Song”. It was incredible to be a part of. But all this would have been empty flash if it weren’t for the connection between these two.
Their vows were incredibly authentic and moving. My favorite line from both was Kristy’s, “I would rather spend one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.” Which, if you didn’t pick up on, was a quote from Lord of the Rings. AMAZING.
One thing that didn’t get put in the film that I loved, was during Kristy’s makeup and hair. The moment presented itself as any other soft-lit, slow-motion prep, but it was anything but. In the background was the sounds of heavy metal music that made me giggle a few times because it was such a juxtaposition.
Thank you Kristy and Andrew, for allow me to capture your day, and try out my crazy black smoke bomb idea. I wish you both the absolute best.
