Karan is so Honest by saying that he has some differences with Ram Gopal Varma but still he praised lot "Satya" & even marked "Lagaan" better than K3G..

Nice picks. Very difficult to keep it down to 10. My list will be a little different but there's no denying that the films mentioned here are among my favourites. Also, he says Chakde has just been released. So, it’s more than 15 year-old list. But, then, a film like Sholay will never get old

Indian cinema means only Hindi cinema in KjO ji's life, or atleast so it seems. Awara has the best screenplay in Indian cinema. A derivative piece like Sholay is another name for Indian cinema etc etc. True. And the likes of Satyajit Ray, Ritwick Ghatak, Tapan Sinha etc., were never born. Honestly, the way Bollywood people and audiences treat other regional industry giants, no matter how huge they are internationally, is appalling. And yet the regional peeps keep on watching the films of these biased and ungrateful Bollywoodwalas. Sad.

@@raunakjoy This was in the year 2007. The mindset has changed now.

@@SoumenMishra123 Not exactly. South is getting appreciated. But what about films from Maharashtra, Bengal and Assam. Some of their recent films have been of truly world level standards- often even more than that of South. Yet they remain unsung. Even among South films, it is the more commercial Telugu films which are getting the eyeballs..and let's be honest and invite the wrath of crazy fans by saying openly that films like KGF, Pushpa, Salaar are pretty much crappy films from many aspects!! Otherwise also, in general, the perception is still same as it was in 2007. The Netflix or Amazon Prime population is still a very small percentage of our vast population. And there is another point here: The famous South films of today are no world masterpieces of the level of say even Tapan Sinha or P. Padmarajan, let alone a Ray or Ghatak. Their lack of international acceptance is a clear sign of the same. Which is why I find this video disturbing because inspite of making films that are widely regarded as among the greatest made across the world by some of the biggest geniuses the world has seen, it is extremely unfortunate to see one's own country's top producer- maker so unabashedly ignore the makers of such masterpieces as if they don't exist. This is not just sad but also heartbreaking.
