The band he is referring to is Lori and the Chameleons. The Chameleons were him and bill Drummond as a production partnership.

@@truemansparks The Chameleons, the Manchester band are completely different. Lori and the Chameleons is Bill Drummond and Dave Balfe with Lori Lartey singing. Bill and Dave kept the Chameleons for their production/management team

@@truemansparks Yes, he was Kingbird. Ex Big in Japan and did a lot of production work for ex Zoo. First Bunnymen album with Bill and Dave, and was in Care, the WIld Swans offshoot
