Correction and maybe additional facts (as a Filipino):
In 1521, Magellan did not get killed by Lapu-Lapu, It was a group of Lapu-Lapu's warriors, or in Filipino, grupo ni Lapu-Lapu.
You forgot to mention the Prayle, What is the Prayle?
For those who are asking: Why did the Spanish hold a cross in the 1521 era?
The cross was used as a symbol of Christianity, Our religion back then pre-colonial was Animism (correct if wrong) or Animismo
You did not mention the Prayle.
The Prayle were Christian missionaries who also contributed to the Philippine Christianity, who abused the Filipinos (o ang mga katutubong Pilipino)
There were many policies during this colonialism period, like Encomienda (owning of territory by a conquistador or soldier of the Spanish Empire at the time), Reduccion (paglipat sa mga pueblo ng mga Espanyol), Polo Y Servicio (Forced labor), and etc.
A Pueblo was a city made by the Spanish, The center of it was a church.
The Philippines did not gain independence in 1964, It was on June 12, 1898 but when the Philippines gained independence from the US, it was on July 4, 1946, but there were still American bases at that time, including Clark Airfield and etc.

8:38 Correction: Bro you wrong the EDSA People Power Revolution Started on February 22 - 25 1986 not 1965. In fact,
Ferdinand Marcos Sr. Was elected as the 10th President Of the Philippines on 1965, on September 21 1972, Marcos declared martial law, claiming that it was the last defense against the rising disorder caused by increasingly violent student demonstrations, the alleged threats of communist insurgency by the new Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), and the Muslim separatist movement of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). One of his first actions was to arrest opposition politicians in Congress and the Constitutional Convention. Initial public reaction to martial law was mostly favourable except in Muslim areas of the south, where a separatist rebellion, led by the MNLF, broke out in 1973. Despite halfhearted attempts to negotiate a cease-fire, the rebellion continued to claim thousands of military and civilian casualties. Communist insurgency expanded with the creation of the National Democratic Front (NDF), an organization embracing the CPP and other communist groups.
Under martial law the regime was able to reduce violent urban crime, collect unregistered firearms, and suppress communist insurgency in some areas. At the same time, a series of important new concessions were given to foreign investors, including a prohibition on strikes by organized labour, and a land-reform program was launched. In January 1973 Marcos proclaimed the ratification of a new constitution based on the parliamentary system, with himself as both president and prime minister. He did not, however, convene the interim legislature that was called for in that document.
General disillusionment with martial law and with the consolidation of political and economic control by Marcos, his family, and close associates grew during the 1970s. Despite growth in the country’s gross national product, workers’ real income dropped, few farmers benefited from land reform, and the sugar industry was in confusion. The precipitous drop in sugar prices in the early 1980s coupled with lower prices and less demand for coconuts and coconut products-traditionally the most important export commodity-added to the country’s economic woes; the government was forced to borrow large sums from the international banking community. Also troubling to the regime, reports of widespread corruption began to surface with increasing frequency.
In 1981 Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., a former Philippine senator, was assassinated on Sunday, August 21, 1983, on the apron of Manila International Airport (now named Ninoy Aquino International Airport in his honor). A longtime political opponent of President Ferdinand Marcos, Aquino had just landed in his home country after three years of self-imposed exile in the United States when he was shot in the head while being escorted from an aircraft to a vehicle that was waiting to transport him to prison. Also killed was Rolando Galman, who was accused of murdering him.
In 1986. The majority of the demonstrations took place on a long stretch of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, more commonly known by its acronym EDSA, in Metro Manila from February 22 to 25, 1986. They involved over two million Filipino civilians, as well as several political and military groups, and religious groups led by Cardinal Jaime Sin, the Archbishop of Manila, along with Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines President Cardinal Ricardo Vidal, the Archbishop of Cebu. It is rightfully remembered as a "Rosary miracle" in the peaceful victory.
The protests, fueled by the resistance and opposition after years of governance by President Marcos and his cronies, ended with the ruler, his family, and some of their supporters fleeing to exile in Hawaii; and Ninoy Aquino's widow, Corazon Aquino, inaugurated as the eleventh President of the Philippines.
*Please fix that error I will appreciated*
