- My brother and I picked up a $50 Proscan Elite Android DVD-playing tablet at Walmart the other day because we thought it was a bizarre product. It turns out it's an interesting device.

It looks like Android is simply passing thru the DVD player video and Android itself wouldnt have access to it.
Now that is something that I can afford. I'm so loving that dvd/ tablet combo. Does it also have a camera to take pictures, too?
I got mine a couple weeks ago for a steal at $39 at a Walmart near my workplace. Can't beat a deal like that!

As much as I don't Used DVD's anymore, I am actually thinking about buying this device especially when it comes with a tablet that comes with It 😲

Some of my questions are based on curiosities that some were answered.
So how does it work exactly does it auto switch to a video mode when you put into the dvd? Also if you were to output to a tv would it properly upscale and denoise the dvd as its being played? Also does the dvd player come up as dvd drive to the tablet or is the answer like my previous question where this like loke a mini smart TV with a Dvd player directly hooked into it because if so it could also be tested for how good it can be for consoles or pc gaming to be displayed on.

So far pretty solid. Plays my movies on UA-cam and all my dvds. Sadly since Google switched from play movies to TV I cannot download my movies now. The download button is useless and meaningless now lol happened for all of my devices now. But very awesome tablet ❤️ edit: got it the time of this comment, be careful with the buttons. Mine broke from being bumped. So now I cannot turn it on lol cheaply made buttons. You get what you pay for that is for sure.

I think you guys missed the part where it's a budget portable dvd player that features Android OS. Why not compare alienware 2024 gaming desktop vs 2011 MacBook? 🤔 Who would win? 🤷♂️

I bought that too and wanted to put movies on a micro sd card for my grandkids. What format do I need to put the movies in? do you know? thank you

By the look of this thing you just insert the dvd (idk if the dvd being ntfs or pal) and tap on an app to load up the DVD if I ever do get one I'll do a deeper dive than other on this because my younger self would love this thing like it'd be an ancient treasure.
@@cydragon2.099they're talking about micro sd not the dvd itself. I believe you can put in AVI format, possibly mp4. Just give it a try with a sample video and see if that format works.

Nope or it'd cost more and with the screen size and other things it'll already be in HD quality even if it's a disc that has standard definition data... I recently seen these at the Walmart my fam goes to... it got me thinking of all sorts of curiosities
Anyone know how to do a factory reset? I used the reset button and nothing. I've tried power on and volume down and nothing. I have tried everything imaginable and I can't factory reset this stupid tablet. I bought it for my daughter and she put a password and forgot it. I can't even access the settings to do anything 😖

DVDs and CDs use the same red laser technology. Every DVD player is a CD, VCD, Mini CD and Mini DVD player 👍 DVD is epic for backwards compatibility 😊
It also plays ps5, only if you have xbox 1 controller....
@@suhtangwong It was an honest question, some devices don't play certain CDs, i have a cd player that doesn't play anything from blank cd's you can get from a store, despite placing mp3 files into it.
@@amd9592you burnt it as an MP3 CD, not a normal audio CD.
