Hi Neil, it's great that sound is now available with DC but I think it should be pointed out that not all decoders will operate on DC and it could result in a failure. Most new decoders will though.
Hi, Yes it is interesting the variety. Sometimes the settings have not been set correctly. I recently purchased a new Class 68 with sound and it was dead on DC, simply because the sound chip had not been set for DC. Fortunately, a friend knew how to adjust the settings and now it works beautifully. Cheers, Neil.
Very interesting to see and hear your locos today Neil. Does the sound start as you give power to the track? As ever a very enjoyable 20 minutes spent at Leefield and Ashpeth. You really do have a great layout. I must go back and look again at the tours of the layout you did some years ago. Stephen
HI Stephen, Thanks for the compliments, again. The sound decoders do need more power than a normal loco. You increase the power to the track, slowly, in order to get the start up sounds and for the loco to idle before moving off. Cheers, Neil.
Really good to see sound on the layout. Always a pleasure to watch the trains on your fantastic layout. Cheers Euan
Thanks Euan, Really good to hear from you again. All the Best, Neil.
Great video Neil! Cheers, Dan
Thanks Dan, Good to hear from you again! Cheers, Neil.
A great example of sounds, and locos. Thanks Neil, hope all is good. Regards Phil
Thanks Phil, Good to hear from you. All is good. Cheers, Neil.

Not so much "Neil Time Trains" 🤔 more "Oldie Time Trains" 🤭 As always a fun visit to Leefield and Ashpeth 🌞
Hi, Careful, you mustn't let on to how old I am! Most people still think I am a 'young gun". Or maybe I am deluding myself? Cheers, Neil.
