Summer 1989, Fountain ave. NYC. Street drag racing filled with the era's muscle cars. In comes this guy with a white MKlll Supra with "HKS" on the sides. Immediately starts gapping Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes and hangs with Grand Nationals! That was the first time I heard of HKS and it wasn't till the Internet came about that I was able to learn more. That mystery HKS "killer" Supra has always been on my mind. Thanks for the tour and hope to visit one day.

When I was a wee lad, around 9th grade 85', we had a exchange student from Japan, Hiro, very cool dude. His brother had a Supra MK1 with a Trust sticker and body kit, all white, I forget the rim type (spoke of some sort) had a HKS sticker and exhaust on it. That was my intro to HKS.
First Spoon, then HKS. GAWD DAMN that’s a trip to remember

Anti lag = fire balls through the turbos to keep them spooled... It's fucking great! And rolling anti lag exists as well which is quite insane

I'm a model builder and have a Tamiya model of the Mercedes CLK (#58291) and was only for the Japanese market. I managed to get one though. Nice to see the real car.

The R32 GTR & that CLK are perfect!
That car is probably upwards of 200K to build . most of us can only dream of something at that level.
HKS is the most scenic place on earth for monumental car builds. Just look at it!
The amount of compression on the lens you all captured images with in the beginning makes the cars look like little toys.

*question* how does the anti-lag continue after you’ve let off the throttle? I thought it’d be like a 2-step and you have to have your foot on the gas to engage and then let off and it stop... that thing was just goin bonkers until he flipped that switch
Anti lag on non drag cars continues the entire time you're off throttle to keep the turbo spooled up the entire time you're driving i.e. drift and rally cars so you can get back in it and just go

I've always wondered how much power is restricted by the mushroom filter vs a large cone style filter in front of all the heat obviously they make plenty with the mushroom just more of a curiosity
