i love how hes using a pointer like he's in a best motoring video
He got stick.
He teaching.
He got sim.
You're about to get training session with a Legend.
Has to Be one of The most memorable moments in car guys Life to get such a lesson from a Legend. Nice 🙂
Larry getting driving lessons from a pointer wielding Max Orido just made my day!
I love how Orido san has American flags in his garage in Japan.
For those of you that don't know or don't remember, it used to be a dream of his to race in NASCAR.
please correct me if im worng but didnt he get a chance at it i think at least once back when the cup series ran in japan ............ or am i thinkin of Tsuchiya?
@@1mp3r1alC0MMAND0 Tsuchiya raced Nascar in japan in the 90s when they came over.
@@evilblackcat6357 felt like i was confusing the 2, its been a while haha
Larry please don't leave Japan, just stay and keep filming these hot vids
I agree!!! I'm sure he wants to get back to life back home tho as well lol
I love how japanese use sticks or thumb model to point out things, hot version style when presenting engine bay
I like how Max Orido leans his head according to the turn even though it is just a simulator without any g forces
This man is one of my inspirations. I wish I had the money to start building my cars. I grew up watching him and the D1 guys drive. It's a dream goal of mine to meet him and the rest of the Best Motoring and D1 guys. This is so awesome.
Max seems like such a chill dude, glad yall included the footage of him with larry and dai on the sim. super cool!
super cool is an understatement almost. i would expect some one with his reputation to be atleast a tiny bit either uptight or shy around so many people but hes just there having a good time with everyone
@@mrdarksh0ck672 no, most of these Japanese guys are super humble. I met max in Canada a few years ago in a park randomly with his family
I love the body kits, so clean and they accentuate the car perfectly.
His cars, especially A90 and 86 for me, are so beautiful! Perfect balance between aggressive and elegant.
If I as much a saw Max Orido in person I could honestly die in peace, while Larry is over her getting actual lessons and pointers from the master himself.
Max orido the legend, may be he is one of best stundent from the another legend, DK. Crazy...
Larry, this is a little corny, but this is one of my favorite videos. My daughter was born a few days after this video came out and as you know, we all went into COVID lockdown that month. So stuck at home, tired with a new baby, I remember watching this video and just being really happy. I rewatch this from time to time and think of that month a lot. Thank you and your team for the awesome videos and content you put out.
I met max a few years ago in Canada, he was out randomly with his family. He said it was his daughter's graduation or sumn of the sort, I didn't even bother him for pic
The Japan trip is becoming my favorite series yet. Congrats Larry for fulfilling your dream and sharing it with us. This is unbelievable. And Yokohama/KW for making it come true!
I cant even imagine what that would be like....to be straight up coached by a legend...thats amazing and Im genuinely jealous!
My dream right there summed up in one video. Orido's passion is inspiring, and his hospitality speaks volumes about him. Thanks for the vid!
Wow what a completely amazing video with so much heritage and history all balled up into 1. Much less getting to hang out with Max in his own personal $100,000 man cave / arcade. You Larry really do have one of the most amazing job's a true car enthusiast could deserve. Thank you guys soooo much for all this content from Japan its been my favorite so far out of all your work. Looking forward to you guys wrapping up the rest of the trip stay safe
In 2003-2004 my friends and I were also hooked on Option drift videos. We had our S13’s with welded diffs and SR swaps (Forest Wang did my first SR swap in my S13 on Oahu) and we were obsessed. We’d go out street drifting and to the local track for drift session. we tried so hard to be the heroes too. Forest went on to be a hero.
Dayum! That racing simulator is noting short of badassery! Max Orido is such an awesome person. He's someone i'd like to always hang out with and help on his projects. Such a humble and fun person to be around.
Larry Chen I am so happy for you that was an experience of a lifetime Gratz to you bro
Getting a free lesson from one of the most legendary drivers at his own place, and his own sim. I don't know if there would ever be another experience like that.
*The cars are just, well, they speak for themselves.. But can we take a moment to appreciate how awesome his old Ridox racing suit is?*
I met Orido at TAS 2019 when I bought one of his team jackets. He's such a professional and perfectionist at what he does. I also love how he's helping fellow racing drivers with these sort of simulation tutorials.
The best autofocus yet! What a genuine man! One of the greatest of all time, Orido style!
Larry, you are spot on when guys our age used to RELIGIOUSLY watch Option and Best Motoring videos on DVD back in 2001-2003. even had a collection of them and 360 vm! shit, I am having flashbacks now. lol
Drinking beers and playing racing sims
Thats the life
TI THE POWERS THAT BE. I am an auto addict, and I just wanted to say that as a company, your leads, like Larry do such a fantastic job of bringing us along for the ride. I just wanted to voice my thanks, for always brightening my day. You guys and girls are amazing.
I wish Larry could stay in Japan and make videos like this full time. Love the perspective and dialogue from these discussions! So good.
How awesome! Thanks for sharing this amazing garage and man cave.
I realize that it's not fair to call you lucky because you've put in all the work, but damn you're lucky Mr. Chen!
It’s like corona got me and I went to heaven; his garage is jaw dropping..
Thank you Larry, thank you Di. Big thanks to K.W suspension and Yokohama for providing us this epic content. I appreciate it
WOW! This must have been awesome. Keep living your best life, Larry!
One the most enjoyable videos ever!! Can feel how excited he is!
I have a similar story of meeting Orido. Met him in 2003 at an RSR drift event outside Chicago. I also had him sign my event pamphlet and still have it to this day!
Max is a legend hands down. Cool guy personal fave from bmi days
Cool way to spend my lunch today. Thanks Larry!!
This experience was very special
some of the best footage from hoonigans thanks Larry
Holy shit!!! He’s one of my favorite drivers!! Love best motoring!!
what an honor it must've have been to meet Orido and get to see his cars and get to teach you how to drive!!!!
Max seems like he has a good sense of humor still just like best motoring. He seems like he would be an awesome/real guy to hang with. I was waiting for someone to try and cup check him.
A driving lesson from the Man on his personal simulator. Thanks for sharing!
Larry nothing but killer content! Thanks for the inside on stuff that we would otherwise NEVER get to see!
I just can't imagine a more fun day, without actually driving any of his real cars. Keep it up, this trip to Japan has been awesome to watch.
So very cool some of it actually made me a little teary-eyed because I can imagine how you felt back then versus now very cool Larry congrats that's a huge milestone huge
What a dream!!! Max and Daigo holding it down with best shops in JP
What a champ. Really generous and chilled dude!
Your making the videos that sparked your interest in cars sparking the next gens... Dope
just wow man! longtime fan of Orido san . Thanks a lot!!!
OMG Lessons from Max Orido!!!!!! Epic! Im soooooo happy for Larry and the pointer LOL Where's the one with the finger? LOL
This is the best thing I’ve seen in a while. This is AWESOME! 😎
I like his body kits better than those put out in 86, I was 19 due to the crazy body kits out then, I chose a 67 Baja bug, In stead of a Japanese car. Although my dad bought a 77 Toyota Celica I went and look at.
Larry Thank you, these are the best episode's. Shows how far behind America is in some things. How lucky we are in others. We race on the streets, well here where I live anyway. I have Moto's come through every weekend. We drive from my place to Hot Springs or up HWY 7 to Jasper.
*Brake!, Gas!* I bet Larry felt the intense pressure forreal 😂😂😂
"... nice racing driver...". Great stuff, Larry!
*Manabu Orido san, so much respect for a KING,keep killing the game out there lar*
Orido San seems to be really cool guy. Real mellow and humble driver. I wish I was like him. Awesome video
this deserves like a million views. absolutely legendary moments
Very nice content Larry! Keep up the good work! Your such an inspiration👌🏻👍🏻👊🏻
i don't speak or understand Japanese in the least - i know a handful of phrases - but when larry asked "so why red" - didn't need a translation to know the answer was an incredulous "ummmm a sports care is red?". wonderful video
We were also at that JGTC event also. In the VIP section. Love the video !
Am genuinely smiling watching this video
More garage tours! This is amazing
I’m totally fanboying right now!! What a dream!!
it's beautiful kicking it with the Japanese OG's. I hope to have a garage like that some day.
Driving lessons from Max Orido... epic.
Man, I remember GT Live! Such an awesome event!
The pointer makes this the closest thing to Option Video Simulator. Larry Chen.....you are living the dream....
I once met him back in my internship days, covering him doing a session in Indonesia. Cool dude I have to say
I don't use this term often, but this was epic. All the feels on all the levels.
Much Respect. This man shows MORE RESPECT FOR AMERICA than MANY AMERICANS!
Thank you for these dope ass JDM vids dawg💪💯😎
Max Orido is orchestrating a symphony with a simulator 🥺
Japanese love their Porsches. Awesome video Larry keep it coming.
I knew who Max was since watching videos over a decade ago, but him repping the US flag just made me a huge fan.
Not only is Orido in this video, but so is Dino?! This is the best video ever!
It's like starring in your own personal Best Motoring video
I made my first full hydraulic setup a few years before Orido did, I was so stoked when he made the advocating for simulation as it does make a massive difference in muscle memory. It has made a massive improvement for SO many drivers worldwide. Simulator over a desk setup any and every day if you take driving seriously.
find us on facebook search as 1:1 Simulation.
Im only 28 and I remember the motoring videos and the touge battles ❤
nice taste Mr Orido. He got Advan GT’s on most his car. I love them 😍
thanks for sharing, similar to the cxc simulators at base 51 in los angeles
That 86 bodykit is so smooth...
oh my gosh... this is a total bucketlst item. I envy you Larry but you worked just as hard to get there too!
The 100th anniversary of pikes peak was on June 26th 2016. I cant wait for the one this year.
4:35 I'm pinching myself just watching this.
This is one of them smile inducing videos ❤❤❤
such a cool video! One of the great legends!
This is absolutely amazing. Love Orido. Would be amazing if yall could meet Keiichi Tsuchiya
Wow!! That's a nice Supra!!
That's literally a dream come true! You are so lucky Larry! :)
Haven't watched it yet but already liked it! Hope the (nats) Aristo is still around in the collection.
Epic driver.. Happy to see he is a Toyota guy.. Even tho he has a BMW aswell and a subaru in his garage..
I'm such huge fans Max and Tsuchiya. This was an amazing video! I wonder if you will be able to see Tsuchiya on this trip.
Appreciate that you left the japanese audio , awsome video keep up the good work larry!!
So quality content brother! A fan from Bangladesh.
