I will say that for some people, who want more functionality, I would recommend Philips Hue light sets, even though they’re quite expensive. But they work well, and I love the customisability, and the updates. I also really like the way I can set up routines for going to sleep and for waking up.
And for people who want even more functionality: addressable RGB strips (and a microcontroller). You can't have more cusomization than that because you litterally program it yourself. Gotta have time and/or be a programmer thoug.
I got a free office trailer im converting into a tinyhouse/mancave. I put a few leds and other lights that change color, I get wasted once in a while and cut them on with music lol. Their great for holiday temes too, I changed all mine to green and red for Christmas :)
Fantastic guide. Highly detailed. And it's really, really refreshing to come across a couple of UA-camrs who don't feel the need to shout during the entirety of the video. Subscribed.
"ultimate guide" and no mention of basic things like white color options, surprised to see the light strip channel. Very little info in this video. Waste of 6 minutes 👎
Honestly, you shouldn't ever be able to see the actual LEDs themselves, it looks really tacky. They should always be hidden like behind a monitor or desk, or under your bed, never just out in the open like lining your ceiling.
Two issues, even with the diffusers on, the strip doesn’t have enough lights per meter to give the seamless light flow. Second, the lights are in one color and doesn’t give the rainbow effect. So it’s great for the ambiance glow but if you want the lights visible, it needs to be a RGB rope or something with higher RGB light per meter.
Once you cut the strip is there a way to connect the part you cut to say have a strip behind your desk and then have one going around the back of your monitor? Or would you need to buy 2 different strips to do that?
My so. And I put Daybetter lights up in my room and set them up remotely then we put his up in his room and programmed his own online account but when we try and turn them on we are controlling both rooms at the same time how do we prevent that?
Glad I'm not the only one. Wanted to have some fun and bought addressablel RGB strips (I can program them myself and each LED can have a different color) and bought a powe supply. Then some little cables to make it turn around the corner, some wire because my power supply is too far and what do I know my total is already 80$ -_-.
Don't need smart lights? Don't need lights going with the music? I bought 32 ft for $20 and 65 for $30 and 16 with neither shouldn't cost more than $30? I'm clearly playing devil's advocate, but I like music and hate remotes. I barely remember where the TV remote is. I don't need several more remotes for the sole purpose of turning on a light.

This is a totally legitimate and not paid for comment.
@@bradjohnson1229 Your sadly right despite the fact your comment is sarcasm. This "ultimate guide" was ultimately shit
Ultimate common guide. I expected to see different types of rgb, what to buy, what not. Differences between any model etc.

It’s like they just read the instruction manual and said “yup! This would make for an ultimate LED light strip guide! :D”
i'm watching this but i dont have a room to put em on
Same
I don't have both 👍🏽
The rgb neon strips are nice, but not for lighting a room really, but are fairly bright, and expensive...

I miss watching your videos
Can we use free scripts in the pc on 12v rgb pin without any adaptor and control through aura sync?

i feel like im trippin watching this 😂
Quick Question: I'm probably getting these and do you know if these work with Synapse 3?
What if you wanted to go longer than 32 feet? Is there a connector at the end of the strip where you can just plug in another 32 ft strip?
Yes. There’s connectors that allow you to chain them together
Omg thank u so much up brought the rgb today and I didn't knew how to set it up but i know now
You should try some smart led strips such as Govee, Phillips hue, lifX in ur videos!
That power brick looks like it'd hang off (and pull the lights down) if you try to attach the lights to the ceiling, how do you get around this?
Clips on the cables.
So if I cut it does the cut ones not work ever
Well, *someone* went ham on the chromatic aberration.
