- Scrapping out a PC involves dismantling the computer to extract valuable components and materials. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Preparation
1. *Ground yourself*: Static electricity can damage components. Touch a grounded metal object or wear an anti-static wrist strap.
2. *Gather tools*: Phillips screwdriver, Torx screwdriver, pliers, wire cutters, and a soldering iron.
3. *Wear protective gear*: Safety glasses and gloves.
Disassembling the PC
1. *Remove the power cord*: Unplug the PC from the power source.
2. *Remove the side panel*: Take out the screws and gently pull the side panel off.
3. *Disconnect internal cables*: Carefully disconnect cables from the motherboard, hard drive, and other components.
4. *Remove the motherboard*: Take out the screws and gently lift the motherboard out.
5. *Remove other components*: Extract the hard drive, power supply, RAM, and other components.
Valuable Components and Materials
1. *CPU (Central Processing Unit)*: Extract the CPU from the motherboard.
2. *RAM (Random Access Memory)*: Remove RAM modules from the motherboard.
3. *GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)*: Extract the GPU from the motherboard or graphics card.
4. *Hard drive*: Remove the hard drive and extract the magnetic disks or solid-state storage.
5. *Copper*: Extract copper from wiring, heat sinks, and other components.
6. *Gold*: Find gold in connectors, switches, and other components.
7. *Silver*: Extract silver from solder, switches, and other components.
8. *Tantalum*: Find tantalum in capacitors and other components.
9. *Aluminum*: Extract aluminum from heat sinks, cases, and other components.
Cleaning and Preparing Components
1. *Clean components*: Remove dirt, dust, and other contaminants from components.
2. *Sort and separate components*: Organize components by type, grade, and condition.
3. *Bundle or package components*: Prepare components for sale by bundling or packaging them.
Selling Components
1. *Research market demand*: Understand what components are in demand and adjust your extraction strategy accordingly.
2. *Find buyers*: Look for buyers online, at local electronics stores, or through specialized recycling centers.
3. *Negotiate prices*: Negotiate prices based on the component's condition, grade, and market demand.
Safety Precautions
1. *Handle components carefully*: Avoid damaging components during extraction.
2. *Use proper soldering techniques*: Avoid overheating components or causing electrical shocks.
3. *Ensure proper ventilation*: Work in well-ventilated areas to prevent inhalation of dust or fumes.

Glad to see you getting around and getting some work done. Thanks for the video.
Thanks
Every little bit counts! Awesome video my friend!
Thanks
Some hard drive tops are stainless
Good to know ty
Nice break down thanks
Thanks
I work for a garbage company and I've been stacking up laptops and cellphone for this reason. If I come across the desk tops I've been grabbing the ram cards and icu chips out of them.. Just don't know if it's really worth the time or not.. I usually do pretty good with regular scrap as of copper and brass
Ya I not sure if it's worth it either but every lil bit helps
Great video! Rock it!
Ty
Did u see my comment from the transformer video? Just checking 😊
