I have been shopping like this for years. I usually buy whatever protein is on sale and but for more than 1 more and freeze individually. Veggies and fruit is what is on sale for the most part. I think where people spend a lot of money is on convenience foods and processed food. I lucky to have the time and enjoy cooking and baking. Ends up being much cheaper.
That’s what I do. I base my meal plan and grocery list on what’s on sale and fill in with pantry staples.
That is a MAJOR difference between what you can get at Erewhon for the same price, just wow!
These meals look absolutely delicious! That mango salsa with salmon is making my mouth water! Also, I have a panini press, and I love buying the loaf of sourdough from Costco and doing paninis with whatever cheese, meat, and veggie I have on hand. So good!

I wore a raw salmon filet as a hat the other day to my local tillys and was asked to leave.
I’ll have to try that! I can’t imagine where I live it would be possible but you live in CA so im probably being pessimistic
My only fear is the soggy bread for the meal prep panini, probably add the sauce on the side or on day of. Otherwise love the ideas here.
I live in an expensive area in the country so unfortunately my groceries aren’t as low as I’d like, plus my husband eats huge portions so very hard to keep within a $100 budget (he won’t eat veggies or anything and eats lots of meat). I definitely need to try looking for online coupons though!
The coupons are so helpful! Definitely saved with the cheeses and other staples like canned tomatoes which we use every week!

How long is meal prepped food good for? That’s something I always worry about when it gets towards the end of the week.
You could just freeze the lasagna & bake it when ready to eat it.

Great easy recipes! But I am a bit confused. You have a family of four. How would all that food last for 3 meals a day for 4 people for the entire week?
My kids are 3 and 6, so it works for my fam!

I'm assuming she purchases most of her groceries organic. Switching over from organic to conventional alone can save 30%-50% easily.
She also bought store brand food & not a lot of more processed foods which saves money.
We only eat organic. I’m curious to see how far $100 goes.
It’s too bad Kroger isn’t everywhere. I only know if Kroger cause they have them where I go on vacation.
In SoCal, they’re Ralphs and in Pacific Northwest, they’re Fred Meyer. Where do you live?
Kroger operates stores under several names. In the Midwest it is Mariano’s. The PNW also has QFC.

Where I live just the berries would have cost me about 25$.
Frozen berries are usually a better price.
