Hey Laura, I know this comment is probably going to be burried but I was bored and wanted to go back to the start of your story and I'm blown away that you and Aaron kept so consistent through the years. I am beyond grateful that I found you. You've kept me company for 8 months now in the evenings and inspired me to do so many projects.
Gotta love UA-cam..a year later and new to me :) thank you for your lesson i have been stuck for years gathering supplies not knowing the totality of the steps and your way of teaching is clear and effective. Many thanks from Mt. Hoot OR
Just to let you know if your using full bloom wheat you will end up getting moths, I learned this through experience. You need to cut the wheat before the grain forms.
super fun indeed ...sooo pretty! since we don't have wheat here, i can use the grass flower-heads instead...they kinda look like wheat i guess...more like fountain grassflower-heads...except that they're white...& there's a lot at my backyard...
So gorgeous! I need to find a friendly farmer around here:) I'm in Southeast Washington.....pretty dry here so I'm sure I can find a wheat farmer. Can you tell I'm getting my morning dose of Garden Answer?! Love your videos Laura! :)
***** Well, if you can't find any wheat up there, come on down and I'll hook you up! :) We threw together an impromptu wheat wreath making class at the nursery where I work and it was a blast, but, ohhhh....that was a lot of wheat we had to go gather for all those wreaths!
Garden Answer That's so sweet of you!! I'll need to come and see you at the nursery! I know I'll love it....maybe I'll go when there's a class you're doing!? I can only imagine how much you had to gather for your class!! LOL It sounds like fun!! I'll let you know:) Thanks so much again Laura, I would love to visit!
Beautiful.. Garden Answer do you spray the wreath from shedding? If so soft what product.. I live in the city where can I get wheat from? Ty for sharing your craft ☺️❤️♥️ Lastly what size is this. I like full large wreath like this one..
Hello! About how many oz/bunch of wheat do you need for this project? On michaels.com they sell their wheat by 8 oz bunch but im not sure how much i should purchase:)?
+Garden Answer also how long will this "last" or be good for? Will it rot, or change into yucky color? Thanks from Florida! thinking maybe a "tropical" wreath with palm fronds and a couple of Christmas bows?
So really, it was $5 for you, but not for us who don't have a wheat field around nor a metal hanger lying around lol Your wreath came out pretty even so :)
AWE wheat! Wasn't it great before it was poisoned with Round Up & everybody became sick from gluten that is filled with Round Up? Yeah I miss the Natural! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
roesdahlschou Hello! Well, I actually work at a seed store/garden nursery and sold the farmer 'Stephens' wheat which he planted in the field and let me come harvest for this project! So, I'm pretty sure it's wheat. :) Thanks! ~Laura

Would I have to spray the finished wreath... to help the wheat from drying out... and having the pieces dropping off?
My exact question.

How long will this wreath last?
Where do you get wheat if you don't live near a wheat field??????
Claudia Springer I got a ton from Hobby Lobby... You can typically get dried stems from home decor or arts and craft places 😊
