It often helps to try to maximise the number of lanes it covers Lanes are the pathways attackers take to enter a site. Varying setups by changing a few things to moving sites can catch the opponent off guard and grant you more kills and impact. @@CubeInspector WOW, I did not know that! Props to you, I can now know the difference between your and you're! But seriously bro, if u talk to your friends like that u need to go see a therapist.
I think the most defining feature of a Sentinel is holding down the space the Initiator + Duelist + Controller has occupied. An attribute that Sentinels like Sage ane Chamber fall short, and hence often used as pseudo-duelists. You see, traditional Sentinels like Killjoy, Cypher, and, now, Deadlock, have at least 3 utilities you can use to monitor/hold down sites. Sage only has one wall that can easily be broken and 2 slow orbs that slows for 4 seconds max each. Chamber only has his trap for anti-flank/monitoring utility and the rest are frag-centered utilities. I guess the logical rebutal here is that, Sage can heal allies and thus gives the team more HP (overall) to continue to hold down site and Chamber is an incredibly offensive/hit-and-run Sentinel, but as you can see, they almost don't have a reliable lockdown/monitoring utilities which is common to Sentinels. I read a thread once about how to buff Sage without making her a sub-duelist/mid-controller and more of a standard Sentinel and it has nothing to do with her innate ability (heal) nor her ultimate (resurrection) and that is buffing her Slow Orbs and even having an interactive function with her Barrier Orb (which I absolutely agree of) which is, "The wall durability should be reinforced/re-fortified/replenished whenever it interacts with a Slow Field". Honestly, that is a good idea. Back then, Sage's Slow Field lasts for 8 seconds but everyone agrees that was too much, especially in Split, so they (Riot) brought down to 4 but I think 6 is most definitely fine and her Wall should have a faster re-inforcement. As to Chamber, his very design is so flawed. Though a Sentinel, he is severely leaning on to the Duelist side. Not even a Pseudo- but a straight up Duelist. He only has one Sentinel-ish utility and it is very easy to counter.
i main controller but as time goes by it becomes tedious, so now I'm looking into initiators and sentinels (specially trying to see if I can main deadlock, regardless if shes good or bad)
lurker are the one who play separate from the team to infiltrate the map. so basically with a lurker you get 1. map and area control, as you can lock certain areas free of enemies 2. enemy info, as you know they are not there its easier to guess where they are 3. easy frags, as sometimes you catch one rotating without his gun or sometimes you flank and pick them from behind
Sage is a team-player agent. Very rare you want her as a lurker cus most of the time your teammates are going to cry about heals and resurrect and it's hard when you're on the other side of the map.
Well she (with cypher) is the strongest sentinel, and the most used in pro games so yeah After diamond everyone is basically using kj or cypher ; sage, chamber and especially deadlock are more occasional I agree that it could have been nice to see some deadlock or sage plays but hey
sry but aim is necessary.... Everyone who says you dont need aim is lying (a lot of people i know say that and some videos too) i know a lot of set ups and videos how to play kj dont help, when my aim is trash and im struggeling with being scared
I think what they mean is, it's not a priority. You can have the best aim in the world but as a kj your value doesn't come from that. As a kj you're scary. You can literally have an entire site locked down enough to where no one will want to push it to avoid compromise. Aim IS important but not a priority.

Changing kj setups was one the first things I figured out with her it's so fun too when you get that hero turret that helps you get 3 kills

All of this is very informational, but it's invalid. Nats is on team liquid not sentinals

I wish these kind of calculated anchor/lurker plays were possible in low elo x'D
As a sentinel main, I am disappointed in the lack of Chamber in the thumbnail.
i main controller but as time goes by it becomes tedious, so now I'm looking into initiators and sentinels (specially trying to see if I can main deadlock, regardless if shes good or bad)
Is there video on where sentinels should anchor on each map?
Deadlock's Q (basically her tripwire) when you said any controler can clear likethat
is this guide applicable to iron-gold elo? I play almost exclusively KJ, if not, it's either sage or chamber.
i hate this when this happens kj : covering the whole a
enemies : in b
kj : :/
if your team can't defend with 4 ppl on site then they don't deserve to play the game
Just stay as an anchor when that happens, your team has it easy with a 4 stack
Your job is to anchor A until they plant on B
This so relatable, like jm excited to catch the attackers with my set up but no one comes.
worse if the enemy team has an omen. I ain't moving my ass until that spike is planted. I dont care.
how come some of the videos on skill capped have disappeared?
they r prob outdated
Very good video bro
can someone explain to me what is the job of the lurker?
tbh I am not sure , but I think the lurker has to either flank the defenders or catch the rotations. For free kills and pressure
Play seperate from ur team on attack if your team go A lurk should go B most likely Sentinel or 2dry Duelist . To kill the Person rotate
get map control and vision, confuse the defenders, get easy picks etc
lurker are the one who play separate from the team to infiltrate the map. so basically with a lurker you get 1. map and area control, as you can lock certain areas free of enemies 2. enemy info, as you know they are not there its easier to guess where they are 3. easy frags, as sometimes you catch one rotating without his gun or sometimes you flank and pick them from behind

Does this also apply on sage? in my opinion she isnt a great lurker.
Sage is a team-player agent. Very rare you want her as a lurker cus most of the time your teammates are going to cry about heals and resurrect and it's hard when you're on the other side of the map.
and yet I see a lot of sage lurkers lol
