i love watching this channel. how it only has 164k subscribers is a mystery to me. there are channels with millions of subs that wish they are this good. id love to see a japan by food itinerary like "14 days in japan" for easy planning! all the best :)
My partner and I went to Wazuka last week for a very similar tasting at dmatcha. I love Obubu and co. trying to generate global interest in tea and tea culture outside of Starbucks matcha latte! One thing you touched on but is really important is that these aging tea farming families, some of them 10-15 generations deep, have no successors, but people like Hiro-san and Daiki-san at dmatcha work with the elders to manage their land for them and keep the fields from going wild and abandoned. Great video!
Love it! For a second there I thought you guys were going to drive off a cliff with you freaking out ha! I literally was talking to my Japanese wife about these tea farms and what care they require to maintain. We’re quite near in Kizugawa and the Kyoto Nara border. High five to you all. I’m definitely going to stop by for an afternoon with the family. Compi Cheers Machi! ❤
Sen no Rikyu, he was a righteous dude. During the 16th century often called the “Christian Century” in Japan, there was actually a biblically based tea ceremony that brought many Japanese to know Jesus. This isn’t talked about so much in Japan but it was the main reason Japan closed its doors to the world and made being a Christian punishable by death up until around the nineteenth century. If you ever want to hear one of the most important and interesting stories about the Japanese tea ceremony during the time of Rikyu… let me know. I’m heading to Uji next month to do a tea experience, I may have to swing around this area while I’m up there. Hey, have you ever done the Yamazaki whisky tour… just curious since your near the area. Awesome video.! Domo Arigato.!
Do they have gyokuro? Among all the Japanese green tea, I love it the most. There's a place in Singapore that sells gyokuro that is served to the Japanese Imperial family. TWG sells it at exuberant prices. Too rich for my taste buds.
Im not sure if its ur strategy, but I noticed that Shizuka wears the same clothes.. please dont get me wrong I'm ok with it and I really think that shes beautiful 😀. I personally hate vlog wherein they wear those BIG LUXURY LOGO like I get it u rich im broke haha
1000% Shizuka enjoyed herself on this episode. As much as we enjoyed watching. Such good vibes all-round.
For sure!
I love that man's energy. lol Here is a cup of tea. Enjoy.

Obubu Tea Farm was a great experience when i went there last year. Fell in love with kyobancha and all the staff was very accommodating.
So happy to hear that!
the scenery is beautiful, a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the big city, and the tea looks refreshing
We feel the same!
Tea culture everywhere is very relaxing.
It really is!

I'm not sure why, but I have the feeling that tea is not the only thing that Matsumoto-san grows on those Kyoto slopes...
I did not expect that off roading intro.
Neither did I 🤣🤣😂

If you drink sweetened GT, you might as well drink GT with honey and lemon.

Those tea plants are nothing like what my hippie parents taught me a tea plant was.
:D oh lord!
That French guy is such a good staff there! Such a shame he's going back to France...
He was super nice!
If we ever meet, want to get some boba?

Thank you for the educational video about the tea town Shizuka. But I was worried you were going to hurt yourself on the "rollercoaster"...yikes!
You and me both!
HIROSANNNN, bring me back ;_;

Shizuka is a sustainable queen and we love her wardrobe:)
She's definitely a screamer
It's not very interesting. Tea is produced in various places such as Shizuoka, Yame, and Sayama. This place seems to be popular with foreigners.
