why is no one using battery powered power tools to cut open these propane tanks? Is it not safer than using AC corded tools?

I keep seeing these videos of people filling tanks with water. ive been in propane business for years. quit doing the water and using electrical tools to cut it. you are gonna get killed. next time set tank in a safe place. remove all the valves. let it air out for a day. then build a fire with firewood all the way around and under the tank. get it good and hot and keep throwing wood on until the paint is burned off. this will safely burn out all the residual propane inside the tank and remove the paint at same time. once it cools back down you can cut it with a torch. grinder etc etc. and no worries of electrocution or explosion. trust me this works. just get the whole tank good and hot. ends too.

@@dantepoe4721 they are filling tanks with water and using an electric cutter is why they risk electrocution. Water and electricity don’t mix.
