I found you when I went in for a hysterectomy and watched... how to safely get out of bed after hysterectomy...among other video's, and really appreciate your channel!! You really helped me with the anxiety over my surgery. Definitely trying these exercises when Dr clears me for it.
Hope you enjoy and benefit from this core series for beginners, here's Episode 1 in case you missed it ua-cam.com/video/jsKFvXVOQdg/v-deo.html Together these 4 exercises give a good home program to start out with, all the best!
Very good. Your channel has helped me so as I deal with issues from a fractured T3 over 30 years ago with resulting back fusion, symptomatic Tarlov cysts in the sacral area, and osteoarthritis ans osteoporosis. I've followed a regimen now for over 4 years that includes a combination of your exercises and some from a pelvic floor specialist here. I' happy to say I seldom have back pain, as I've learned what to avoid and how to strengthen. I occasionally see a chiropractor, but physiotherapy really is vital! Thank you!
Great new video, thanks Michelle! Your neck and shoulder exercises solved long term pain, and now this is dealing with my naughty back (too much slumping at my desk working at home)...
At first I doubt the effectiveness of these movements as they are so minute, but my back pains are getting worse that I'm willing to try anything. After 3 days of doing this (twice a day, 15 min session) there's considerable improvement with the pain! Thank you!
Hello Michelle thanks for your work! I love it. A question on the head lift pls. The lift seems to put all the strain on my neck & does not engage the core. Any advice? Thank you.
Hi Michelle Can you do anything sitting or lying with Therabands? I don’t have anything specific in mind. Anything that you think is useful would be really helpful. Thanks. 😊
Hello, thanks for this video. I'm currently have issues with forward head posture and resulting muscle tension. I'm wondering if the lifting of the head of ex #1 would aggravate the tension. Thanks.
Dear Michelle.. Thank you for the video. I'm stabilized 4 yrs ago from L3-5 caused spondylolisthesis. The last 2 yrs I have painful spasm muscles round the lower back and my left hip hurts and stiff. Would you please help me if there any exercises I can do to ease the pain? Thanks. Diana - Bali Indonesia.
@user-ku4mo1er4v Hi there these deep abdominal core exercises can be of benefit with lower back pain ua-cam.com/video/n6z88aU1dMw/v-deo.html Hope these help!🙏
@Roy Cooke it really depends on the cause of your lower back pain. In the case of extreme lower back pain it's best to get a medical assessment form a doctor or a physiotherapist to guide your exercise routine. Wishing you a quick recovery indeed! 🙏
Love your work. Would love to buy you something to say thank you for your great content. I have tried some of your tips and thy WORK! I am almost blind and reading a book is not possible any more. So listening to your videos help SO SO SO MUCH. Have you every closed your eyes and listened to your clips? Would you be able to do the work without looking, just by listening to your explanation? ♥♥♥ your work Did smash that THUMBS-UP! Wish I could smash it 1000 times ;) Thank you again Greetings from South Africa
How kind of you Jaco, I hope you receive this reply. Thank you for making me more alert to the audio which I tend to take for granted, not just the visual elements. How can the audio be improved for vision impaired? Does background music interfere with the content as sometimes I include this in my exercise clips cheers Jaco
Hi Dave I'm a fan of all health professionals working together - choose what works best for your body. Many chiros now recommend core training in addition to their treatments
Hi Michelle. If I might have hip bursitis (pain when I bring knees close together in that side lying plank one), can I do it by keeping a pillow between my thighs/knees?
@Nature Girl I think this is the video you're looking for Series Episode 1 'Beginners Core Exercises for Lower Back Recovery' ua-cam.com/video/jsKFvXVOQdg/v-deo.html
Hi again Michelle, re lifting the head slightly in these exercises - I find it really strains my neck. Any advice on how to make the abs do the work and not the neck? Many thanks.
Dear Michelle, I loved your videos. So informative. But hear me out. I need a little help from you. 5 days ago, my head was digging in to the bench while doing lying triceps extension/skull crushers. The weight was heavy I could barely do 8 reps with proper form. Since then, my neck has been frozen for the whole week. Limited movement and pain while looking down or bending right. Last month the same thing happened and I was able to heal in 3 days and resume gym work. This time it's almost a week but no signs of real progress. This time, could this be more than a muscle spasm? Herniated disc? A pinched nerve? What can I do to get healed? Pease shed some light and give suggestions. Thank you again. 😊
I don't seem to have enough curve in my lower back, as I am very unbalanced in my front and back, my back is flat and my lower abdomen protudes and is very tight.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful exercises. Can you please tell me if there are any exercises I can do for Retrolisthesis and are they the same as the ones done for forward slippage 😊
Hi Robyn yes stabilization exercises such as the exercises in this series of exercises are appropriate for Retrolisthesis however not all exercises for forward slippage are the same as those for retrolisthesis for example you would avoid exercises involving forward bends, hope this makes sense. The focus is core stabilisation for both conditions .
Michelle Kenway Thank you so much for replying. I just don’t want it to slip to often . It is very painful and I’m on a waiting list for pain management which could take a while . I really appreciate your advice 😊👌🥰💖

I’m doing copra and bridge back exercises
Bridge is great! Cobra won’t strengthen but it can be nice for movement and pain relief for some people, all the best!

This is very good although the first exercise is very hard for me on the upper neck, is this normal?
I love all the exercises and explanations. How do you feel about Chiropractic in addition to these exercises?
