Great video! Top side oil change on this car could literally not be easier for a DIY'er. Why don't they make every car this easy!? Would be foolish to do it at the dealer when you can do it yourself this easily for waaaaaaay less money. Great job! I've been looking at XKR's and XKR-S's and the easy DIY oil change is definitely a selling point!
Good to see the complete oil change , I got this gear and was an easy job, great clip! Would be good to also show the service reset. When you get a chance to do a clip on cleaning the mass air flow sensor it would be awesome! I'm not a pro but cleaned my own with quite a challenge.
very well done thank you for sharing your experience ... i have a 2014 and was wondering if you have done the coolant / anti-freeze yet ? if so what type did you use ?
I’m Lothar52 on the jaguarforums.com. Have not posted in a long time. I have a 12 xkr at 80k miles and a bought new xkrs at only 3600 miles. I’ve seen about every problem possible on the 5.0L lol.
@@woundimaging There's obviously only a few XKRs in the valley. A few more Aston Martins also. We occasionally get together via the Idaho British Car Club or our own drives if you are interested
And then people wonder why the crankshaft liners will turn? Do not fill this "liquid" with 5W-20, at least 5W-30 or even better -40. Yes, the consumption will increase slightly, but the engine will only get better.
