    Hi Pete, once again an interesting initial look at your latest guns mate, they both look nice guns and as you said they look fairly well made for the price, when these sort of guns are released with different colour air caps which turn out to be the same I do wonder just how much R&D has gone into making them but I guess the proof will be in the spraying and how well it lays the paint🤔looking forward to seeing these in action mate👍
    I would love to see some pics of your gun rack or cabinet Pete as it must be a sight to behold with all those guns lined up ready for action😲it must be hard to chose which one to use😁thanks buddy👍

      Hi John, I would need a long rack mate that's for sure 😂, of these 2 the Dram looks the most interesting, it feels nice in the hand and I think will work well, time will tell, cheers mate 👍

    YESSSSS! You surprised me as I thought it would be much longer before you were able to post a video on the Dram. I actually ordered one, and it is on the way as I couldn't resist 😂 The pattern doesn't seem overly big, but it is a 1.3 so that's not a bad thing as always for clear coat. I did notice the ad suggests something like 2.58 bar (37 psi). That does seem high (not by ANI standards comparatively), but it is also rated at 10.59 cfm, which I suppose is at that rated pressure. Very interesting. I do spray MS clears, so that means less is probably needed asssuming accuracy of its ratings. However, Im excited to get it in hand.
    By the way, after some studying, the 3 split nozzle and air cap appear closer to trying to copy a W400LV LV4 setup with the smaller holes, I think.

      @peteshobbies5383  4 місяці тому +2

      Hi Boss. I think the Dram will be a good clear coat gun. With the 3 split tip rather than the 4 and a smaller wetter pattern, I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.
      I don't think you'll be disappointed with it, it seems quite well made, which is always a good start 😁
      I would be very surprised if it needs 37 psi, but all these guns on Aliexpress and the like have very odd claims in terms of pressures and consumption, we will see, cheers buddy, keep us all posted on what you think when you have a chance to use it 👍

    HEY Pete, just received the Dram and have some interesting observations. After wondering what manufacturer was behind this gun, I noticed the pot lid is imprinted with Avalon. Quite suspect but not 100% proof.
    Also, the air horn holes are bigger than the W400 Bellaria & LV2, yet smaller than the LPH400 LVX & LV4/J2. I can't say it's exact, but in my opinion, it is an attempt to mimic a would-be updated Kiwami version of the lesser talked about W400LV-LV4 as it is configured similarly with the 3 split nozzle, 4 holes on the face, and relatively compared air horn holes. In the US, the W400LV-LV4 is a 20 psi rated gun. I have yet to spray with either, but look forward to see if it performs near the lower psi as the original. There is only one UA-cam review of the Iwata version that I know of.

      @peteshobbies5383  4 місяці тому

      Hi Boss, Yes, I noticed the air holes in the air horns, and, the air consumption, we're somewhere in the middle of the existing Kiwami4 range.
      So far, using the Dram, I've been very impressed, especially considering the price. The cup looks exactly the same as the Avalon, so I suspect they are indeed made in the same factory, but obviously, I can't be sure, cheers mate 👍

      @peteshobbies5383  Місяць тому

      Hi Mate, I think I've covered that in my reviews. They make many different guns at varying prices.
      The Porphis top end guns are every bit as good or better than the top names, longevity was something I wasn't sure about but having had my original 3 Porphis gun's one and a half years now without problems I don't think that's in question, cheers 👍

    Mr. Pete, is the Avalon WLS400 pistol original? There is a website selling it here in Brazil. The seller said it was made in Thailand. Is that right? The nozzle is sliced and sprays the paint evenly.

    Hey Pete do u have any experience with voylet spray guns? They have a w-400 gun that called my attention. But I have no experience with them so don’t take this as thumbs up from me. Let me know what u think. I honestly value your opinion.

      Hi mate, I haven't seen or used one, I just looked it up, it will depend on price really but I wouldn't spend too much on one as there are some guns about that are ok in the lower price range

  • @spiropittas5477

    Hey Pete Avalon actually has another model which comes with the 2 caps it’s the wls400X has a green cap more for topcoats and the gold cap for basecoat. Trust me they both spray completely differently the green cap has more a tighter fan pattern, and the gold a very wide softer pattern for base. That model acts differently to the one you have here in its split nozzle is slightly different to the purple cap gun.

    Hi Pete, what adapter do you use for the paint cup, also I have noticed when your mixing paint you always weigh it out, is there a method to this? I'm new to this 🙃

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi Mate, these guns take a number 9 PPS adapter, I only weigh my clear out because the cups I use are unmarked, so it the only way to tell the mix I have, of course, if I am mixing paint from my scheme then you need to use it to measure the amount of the difference tinters to use 😀
