The Road King is surprisingly nimble. I have seen people, who are seasoned on riding them, scrape floorboards on every curve. I have no complaints about it. Good mix of comfort/handling. Very confidence inspiring (for me). Now this is not my bike and I ride my Yamaha much harder in the curves, but my wife and I prefer the Road King for riding 2 up hands down.

You guys are soooo lucky. I live in London England and we have to drive for miles to get such beautiful roads. Still awaiting delivery of my RK classic and can't wait. Stay safe you guys across the water.

Loved your ride thru those twisties and the rumble of those Road King pipes. Made me wanna go ride my RK now, but it’s 26 degrees right now. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks for the tasteful video journey.

These is the roads the big softails were meant to ride. Watching this gave me the itch to take out my Heritage, but being like 10 degrees out, I decided against it LOL

Nice lines there, Donald. It looks like you are comfortable staying to the outside of the turns. That should give you a nice view down the road and less lean angle. Some time, you might trying leaving the big twin in 2nd gear. Second is good for about 50 mph on that bike, and will give good engine braking going in and power accelerating out.

Moving to NC soon, and I'll also be buying a 2012 Road King Classic right as I get there. Very excited. This is one of the many rides I plan on doing.

I'm considering buying a road king. That is why i watched your video. I currently have a Dyna Superglide which is a very nimble bike for a big twin. I can hit those twisties pretty hard with some countersteering. the road King only has a slight bit more rake than what I'm currently riding.

Thank you very much! Honestly this is not my motorcycle but I do know its not stock exhaust. It is definitely baffled a lot more than my Yamaha. I will try to find out and let you know. Sorry for the late response!

Sounds like Oval exhaust on your ride?
Dropping to a lower gear made those exhaust rumble.
    Nice ride, love the R.K.'s.

Is this an external mic you used? If so, what kind. Captured the sound very well. I think the pipes are too deep sounding for V&H.

Note to crotch rocket riders: notice how he stays in his lane? I'm tired of dodging skinny jean wearing hipsters who need 1 1/2 lanes to negotiate curves.

To noobs watching this. never charge around a blind corner (a corner you cannot see around). never. I have come around blind corners more than once to find a truck or a van sitting across both lanes, in the process of idiotically trying to make a u turn. I once came around a blind corner to find oncoming traffic in the opposite lane, and a freaking living room couch sitting across my lane!
