Kaylee was cheering on your life alive visit like a little girl. So cool seeing you at our old favorite spots!
Thanks for the reco's!! They really made the day amazing!! I can see why Kaylee was excited to see us at Life Alive, it's amazing!
I was Born in Boston. Fun Fact all the Streets are Named starting In Alphabetic order starting with Arlington Boylston Charleston and so on, WHY? you ask? A large portion of the city sits on man-made land. Structures built on the landfill are supported by dozens of 30- to 40-foot-long wood pilings, similar to telephone poles, that reach down through the landfill to a harder layer of clay. These pilings sit entirely below the water table, which protects them from microbes that would attack them in dry air, causing rot. When the Puritans arrived in 1630, much of the land that underlies some of the oldest parts of Boston didn’t exist. They settled on a small peninsula-called Shawmut by Native Americans-that covered less than 800 acres and was connected to the mainland by a narrow neck that became submerged during high tide. It had the advantage of a dependable supply of springwater, and it was well positioned for maritime commerce. FUN FACT! Hope you enjoyed My Birth Place. Drive safe, People are crazy drivers there. LOL
Thanks for sharing that Bigfoot! That's amazing! I wonder if you have a boston accent then haha
Nope, Lived in Montana too long and traveled to much since I was 18, wow, that's 30 years, wheres my cain, LMAO.
Boston is beautiful… Like some of the large eastern cities, the downtown has tall buildings but the surrounding residential areas are low rise in scale and have pretty historic neighborhoods…
Hint to avoid traffic tickets in cities… Read signs carefully… As someone else suggested… It’s a different vibe than out west where you drive everywhere… Park your car in the neighborhood that has all day parking… And then walk, public transit or take Uber to where you want to go… Continue to have fun folks!
Thanks Stephen! We really learned out lesson on this one lol
Good Boston accent Allie. When i lived there many moons ago i had a hard time understanding the natives.
But great city. Great video as always!
Yeah they speak a little different!! Thanks Andrea so happy you like our videos :)
A hot smoothie is called soup
That’s true! lol
I must agree. ~Smile!
That’s the first thing I thought of lol.
@@angelmorales3720 same!
😂🤣😂🤣
I was just in Boston with my own "van life" adventure! I went for the World Series victory parade on 10/31... all I can say is Sargents wharf parking (right by/near/in the north end) $60 2 days plus was able to stealth camp over night, Starbucks around the corner and right on the water....you know for next time :) I Love, Love, Love Boston!
I really wish we would have had this info when we were there haha!! Would have been very helpful. The day we got the tickets though was the night of one of the world series games so all the parking spots were taken and the garages were all increased prices!
@@TrentandAllie I actually found the spot on ioverlander which I was surprised, but on a previous non van life trip to Boston this summer I had an airbnb in the area and had seen a van or 2 in that lot so I knew it was a thing having seen it with my own eyes and then finding it on ioverlander. Would have been crazy to be in town for a game which was my original plan, Fenway is so fun on game nights but they had to go and win so quickly... regardless the parade was a blast! Also when I went to NYC I did drive which ended up not being intimidating at all because you are going so slow because of traffic and I stayed at the liberty harbor rv park (heard of this place courtesy of traveling Robert) in jersey city for $100/night and then the let me park for $10 in the marina parking for a late check out so I got a good 2 days in NYC as well plus I had the creature comforts of my van. I wasn't brave enough to give the streets of Brooklyn a go at stealth camping like Eamon & Bec yet ;) I am currently binge watching all of your videos and am LOVING the content you've put out. I have a 2002 gmc Savana 2500 but now that I know I want to make this a way of life am starting the search for a promaster ;) especially after seeing the 72 yr old solo female van lifer!! Thanks for your hard work on putting out all your content! ~Joslynn
You guys are so funny! I discovered your channel a few days ago and have been watching your videos like a TV show haha 😂 I feel so inspired! I just bought my first van today and I'll be taking careful notes on your videos on what you guys did on your conversion 😄😄 so stoked!!
Miles! Thats awesome we are so happy and stoked for you to start your van life!! Good luck!!
I would LOVE to visit Boston! ❤️❤️ Thanks for listing and linking all your vanlife necessities!! So helpful! 🙏
May I suggest hanging out in Arizona for the winter? 70's and sunny in phoenix. This is our best season and only 3 hours from snow in flagstaff!
Sounds very enticing!!
Really cool to see you in Boston. Just finding a spot to park is crazy, let alone with the longer van. I have a hard enough time with a standard size contractor van. Don't think you could have fit into most of the garages, so options are really minimal. Just consider the parking fines as a right of passage that many of us have endoured - "Welcome to Boston, here's your ticket". Your accents had me cracking up.
Thanks Robert and yeah we learned our lessons with the parking haha
Do the accents!!! Way too funny. I'm from Boston, now NC, the tickets had me laughing! Love these older vids.
Glad you went to Mike's for the Cannolis! We love Boston, but when we go with our Class B, we'll park in the suburbs and take the T downtown. And go when it's not so cold! Thanks for the tour!!
That's a much smarter idea!!
Hey Trent & Allie!!! The east coast is quite different huh?..and it's getting cold out there now. I lived in MD 2oo8-2o17 til we moved back to northern Cali last year. One of my daughters is a Harvard grad; Mstrs. We took a trip to Baah-ston when she graduated in 2o14. Damn, y'all got TWO tickets but I kinda saw that 2nd one coming. Be SAFE, Stay warm, SAFE travels and Thank you for sharing. 😀
Yeah it's really different over here for sure!!
OMG. Ended up in EXACTLY the same place (Looking at the historic building) today! Haven't been there in probably a decade. Couldn't believe it, but there you have it. Lol
That’s Awesome!! I think most people end up at mikes haha
Thanks for your freezing efforts in showing us Boston! I had to get my sweater on just watching you two... I mean "you three".
It was pretty chilly!!
So glad you guys enjoyed Boston! You should check out Salem, MA since you’re here in October! (I’m from Maine) they have things planned for the public the whole month (including farmers markets 😊)!
I wish we hit Salem! It would have been so fun!
I also vote for Salem!
A definite!!! Look for Red's Sandwich Shop (5am-3pm); tucked away off the beaten path.
October is a great time to visit Salem, MA.
Haha the consensus is clear: drive back up to Salem!! And check out Winter Island!
I miss my twice a year trips to East Cambridge to visit my son and DIL!!! Had tons of fun in Boston, no car to park. (They now live back in Seattle).
aw I bet it was nice to visit boston occasionally
Trent and Allie, I have to agree that traveling to new places gives you a new perspective on people and places. When I went to Hawaii I thought people would travel freely from island to island. I learned that some people have never left the island they were born on because of the cost of travel. Traveling is an education in itself. (Sorry to learn about the parking tickets. Ugh!!!)
Yes it does give you such great perspective on things and places!!
The 'smoothie temp' discussion brought back memories of 'fry-sauce'!
Good times 👍
LOL good times indeed!
Allie, you're Bahstan accent has me laughing so hard. I needed that in hard times.
We were in DC and Philadelphia, loved all the old buildings and history! So amazing!
Yeah it's crazy to see this historical places!!
Very educational video! We learned about hot smoothies, where not to park, tall buildings, and where else not to park 😀. Hey, have you ever called for an Uber from your van? LOL, might be able to park in a safe spot and Uber the rest.
LOL glad you enjoyed out educational video lol. and yeah I bet Uber would have been cheaper than the tickets for sure
Make sure you come back in warmer weather. Boston has so much to offer. Just park in a garage for the day. 😃
we will for sure park in a garage next time!!
No way the tall promaster fits in the Boston Common Garage. Park in Somerville and T in...or just don't visit.
This made me giggle out loud a couple of times. I have a wicked funny Massachusetts story from many moons ago but I won’t clutter your comments with it. Suffice it to say that even though I truly adore Boston as well as the entire state of Massachusetts, most of the people and their ways are, um, unique. Funny, when I saw the line at the pastry shop I thought “they’re going to get another ticket” ( I’ve visited that fine city more than once 🤣😂🤣😂🤣). Live & learn, right? Anyway, thanks for the entertaining video, I loved it 😁.
Glad you liked it Sally! Thanks for watching :)
Love ur conversation!
Thank you :)
Expensive stop in Boston but great video as always. Safe driving to you both. Get well Allie.
Hope your cold go's away faster than usual. You don't seam cranky or look sick . Looking as sexy as ever girl
Thanks Alexandre 😇
First off I want to say I appreciate your love, I happen to be from Boston so I have to say it's no suprise you got those tickets. It looks like you had a good time over all though. You inspire me to get to a better place in my life, so with that being said I look forward to your next video as I continue my ordinary work slave struggle.
Push forward Jose and hopefully soon you will get to a good place where you can make decisions that will lead to a life you want :) god speed my friend
Looks freezing and such delish food!! When we visited Boston we ended up paying for day/overnight parking (cheap like $7?ish) at a subway station a few stops out of the city and then went back there and stealth slept that night. 👌👌
That's a smart idea! We should have done that haha
Take care Allie I hope you feel better soon. Totally sucks about the parking tickets. I have a couple from Seattle and it sucks. $$ I don’t have. Lol. Anyway good to see you guys out vlogging and braving the cold for us. 🤗👍
Parking tickets are the worst!!!
I love your little banters and shenanigans and different linguistical accents ^^
I've been inspired. Inspired to blurt out "warm smoothie!" at random moments :D
Hahah!!! Glad you liked that bit ;)
Hey, you guys can come to Florida! !!
It's still in the 80"s here this week.
But it's supposed to warm back up.
Lol
We may do that at some point!! haha
The tickets remind me of when I first moved to downtown San Diego California, I got so many parking tickets, so be aware when you go there. It costed me hundreds.
I love Boston and the surrounding areas. Too bad you didn't get an opportunity to catch a Red Sox game at Fenway. They actually had VEGGIE HOT DOGS! when I was there--but I was saving my appetite to go to Wahlburgers after the game. My daughter was living in New Bedford at the time so I got to see a lot of the area including Fall River and even hung out one day in Providence. Saw the JFK Presidential Library and drove out to Hyannisport and saw the Kennedy Compound. Saw Lizzie Borden's House and the Cheers! Bar, and so many historical sites. Checked out the most amazing pastry shop in the WORLD and also got the BEST PIZZA EVER at this artisan pizza place called Crazy Dough's. Had the Tuscan Garlic Pizza with Balsamic Glaze. OMG!!! It spoiled me for any other pizza for sure. Would love to go back to Boston again one day.
Boston is one of my fav towns in the US. But - it is N O T a driving town. Like NYC and San Fran . . you find yourself a centrally located parking spot (like a hotel, library, church . . etc.) and pay them $20 and enjoy the amazing public transportation. I know you also have the "Frank" issue - but you could always return to the van during the day to tend to Franks needs. Glad you liked it as much as you did - hope you try it again in the future. btw - the accents were fun and not too bad.
Thank you for the insight we will definitely use it in the future 😊
You guys really need to consider about coming to the van life and Parker Arizona November 7th. Would love to meet you guys
We will be on the East coast still!! Dang it
Those tickets will getcha here! So sorry - glad you were able to see beyond them though! Very glad you got to Mike's too!!
IT's ok Mikes made up for it!!
Hahahaha . 40F is not freezing (lol 32F is). You two are soooo funny and so whimpy (in a good way). Love your videos. Keep up the awesome travel videos.
Thanks Michele! Glad you enjoy it and yeah we are both kind of whimpy! We didn't want to deal with the cold lol
I totally understand I live in northern Illinois and it can be 80F one day and 40F the next. We say here you can wear a coat in the morning and shorts in the afternoon.
Haha, the post before said what I was going to say....Trent, warm smoothies are called SOUP 😉. You guys are so fun.
Haha that's very true
You’re out east!! Love you guys! Come to Brevard,NC ! Gotta check out this great town! Pisgah National Forest, and DuPont forest (hunger games) with so many waterfalls to explore! Great food trucks outside DuPont. Hiking, mtn biking, and more breweries too! Ya just gotta come check out our outdoor paradise! ❤️
We wanna come down there and mountain bike!!!
Trent & Allie you guys would love it! We are 45 minutes southwest of Asheville. This whole area rocks! You won’t want to leave!
You guys have an awesome attitude! I loved Boston. The market was a cool place to visit. Surely in your travels, you might find yourself in Virginia Beach! Keep moving south......
I'm sure we'll be in that area at some point!!
Hot smoothie = Soup.
Poor role Frank - must be cold!
Wonder what the temp there is in Centigrade - then I could tell if it gets that cold here ;-). Just googled - the coldest days I experience here are between 42.8 at breakfast time - 51 mid afternoon. But only this cold a handful of times per year.
Mebbe you should avoid cities (like I do LOL). My last city trip earned me a $100.00 fine for parking on the wrong side of the street.
Yeah it's so frustrating!! It wasn't that cold, but its got us missing summer thats for sure
My boyfriend and I just visited Boston in March and had the same problem with parking! So frustrating. We also did the freedom tour and had the homemade hot chocolate which was amazing. Hope you had fun!
It really is a nightmare right?! So frustrating
brrr cold in Pittsburgh too..27 this morning send back the heat and sun !! - I worked in Boston a cpl yrs ago, metermavins .. hated it
Yeah they're ruthless!!
Glad the two of ya had fun-bummer about them tickets tho
Yeah it was a drag but oh well!!
Oh you guys are in my home state! Welcome to Boston, hope you guys have fun and definitely bundle up! Sorry about the tickets, Boston sucks like that but atleast you guys have some Mikes Pastries to enjoy which are amazing! Much love to you both!
Yeah I think we did it right!! It was a blast
Been thinking about buying one of those jackets but it doesn’t seem like it keeps you that warm lol. love the vids btw
The jacket definitely keeps you warm We were just being wimps haha
Trent & Allie thanks for the reply guys. It gets pretty cold up here in Canada land lol I’ll definitely look into them. Thanks guys
The expression is it's "wicked cold". I can relate. I remember when I was there it was April and I was standing and looking at the sun like I always do but in this case there was no heat coming from the sun. Brrrrrrrr.....
Boston is a cleaner New York.
You both sound like you’re from the area. I’m laughing at you laughing, and throwing Allie under the bus, she sounds great . 👍🍀🎃
Haha thanks Elaine, glad you enjoy my humor 😏
I think I laugh once or multiple times in every video you guys do. warm smoothie equals oxymoron. Enjoy Boston!
Haha so glad we make you laugh Sid! That's a mission accomplished for us :)
Crack me up with warm smoothies! Lmao 😂 Devo does driving 💋
Glad you liked that bit ;)
Ughh that's the worst about the parking fines!!
Recently I got hit with a public transport ticket - my myki card (in Melbourne, Australia) went into deficit as I touched on the tram... And you can't top up any money while on the tram. So I thought, Oh I'll just put some money on when I get into the city (there's no top up stations near my house or tram stop). Low and behold that was the day inspectors got on the tram. Been on trams a million times before and always make sure I have money on my myki, and the day I didn't I got a fine!! GRR Now I always make sure I top up $50 each time so I don't get stuck again!! (Btw the fine was $250).
Oh my!! That’s terrible! How do they expect you to load the card if there isn’t a station around? That’s crazy. At least you have a good attitude about it
I love the editing!! Soo Dope! 💕
Thanks Nikki! Glad you liked it
It's OK Allie. I love that you try with the accents and you are so cute. Trent, give her a hug and say you are sorry for dising her attempts at speaking the Bostonian accent. :-)
Trent & Allie,
I don't comment much on videos I watch, however, after watching this and seeing you get two parking tickets there in B'town, I had to comment. I travel to Boston almost every winter for work. Without a doubt, it is the "Worst" city in my opinion for being expensive to park and aggressive about issuing citations. I swear, I think the parking patrol officers hide at every parking location, just waiting for your time to expire to the second and then "Boom", the infamous orange envelope. If you are heading to "Philly" it's the same way. Park where you're suppose to, make sure you never go over your minutes on the meter, and you should be ok!
Thanks for the heads up because we are heading to philly at some point!
Such a bummer to get tickets
You guys are hilarious! I'm Canadian, 40 is not cold!! Lol
You're right, but we were not ready for it!! and the wind was torturous
@@TrentandAllie Yeah, when it's cold and windy, not a good mix...
Yup east side winter is way different. Burrr forsure. I'm so glad you guys opt to go plant based. I have really been enjoying your vlogs. You guys rule✌
Yeah we are steering that way as much as we can, we slip up here and there but we're trying!
Just look at the parking fines as a way to maintain Boston's great historic heritage! T&A
OH we're doing our share haha
Yep meters here in the Detroit area better be up to the minute or we are screwed. I have run out of restaurants to feed the meter. Never want to be late. I swear alarms must go off and those meter maids are there scratching out a ticket. And yep 40 isn’t cold! That is spring weather.Maybe you should’ve left the first ticket on the windshield if you were parking illegally! LOL
Yeah we really should have left the ticket on the windshield would have saved us for sure!!
Haha! The person that gave you the ticket was probably watching the video and yelling to their friends in their Boston accent " Hey guys I'm on youtube, I gave them that ticket!" "Make sure you keep an eye out for those two, they're breaking the law all over the place."😂 Frank!!! He's lovin it!😽💋💓Enjoyed it like always. Love you guys!😘💕🐾💓 P.S. So its freeze a cold, starve a fever. Did it work?
Thats some good advice gibbs! I think it worked but Allie has another cold!! She was feeling better then worse lol. Glad you enjoyed the vlog :)
You guys, I have all the feels - you're in my hometown hitting all my old stomping grounds! If you're still in Boston, I have like a million recs. Even with all the awesome healthy options in Austin, I miss Life Alive's Goddess Bowl like it's crack. Such a bummer that you weren't there earlier in the month or in late September, that's the most magical time of year. Take Frank to the Middlesex Fells (the Sheepsfold side is the off-leash dog park) or for a hike in Blue Hills before you leave. And don't miss checking out Somerville, where I grew up! Even though I hate this saying, it's really the "Brooklyn of Boston". Davis and Union Squares are the coolest. Ugh, so jealous!! Sorry about the parking and tickets, sadly that's life in Boston. We used to live on Hanover Street in the North End and paid over $300/month in tickets, even with a resident sticker!
That’s insane!! I couldn’t live there and have a vehicle haha
If you ever go to Boston again I would suggest finding parking for the day somewhere and using public transit to get around. It’s much easier than trying to find parking everywhere you go, especially in the downtown areas.
Most cities have parking apps that allow you to add more time from where ever you happen to be when you expire. It avoids tickets.
Which I’d have known haha
I am sorry for the tickets. Boston is famous for that. If you go to some of the coastal cities, watch out for the boot. They don’t bother with tickets. Straight to the boot. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
That's scary!! I'm glad we're not in Mass anymore haha
Happy trails.
Great day!!! Those parking tickets! They sure know how to ruin someone's day. Lol. I was so upset for you guys.great video though, as always 😊❤️
Thanks Darien!! So glad you liked it
Reading between the lines here, and after receiving a parking ticket I’d say;
‘Never chase the warm smoothie’ lol 😆
Thanks guys 👍
Yeah it was a mistake haha
Oh Trent, I never drive in Boston :). I can’t imagine a van. 🤣
It’s a nightmare haha
The little building is the Old State House. It is a subway stop now. The big building is One Boston Place. I used to work on the 26th floor. I think the building might have 28 floors, but the elevator only goes to 26. I still have my badge, but have to turn it in next week cause my client moved out. Otherwise, next time you were in town, I'd offer to take you up there for the awesome views. Sorry about the cold and the tickets. It has been colder than usual. The cops ah wicked strict ovah he-yah.
Haha that would have been awesome!! Too bad we missed the opportunity! and yeah the cops are wicked strict ovah dair
40 degrees all you need is a pair of shorts and a sweat shirt. You two are funny.
This humid cold is different than back home haha
Cudos to Trent for appearing to be so calm on the traffic tickets you got for parking illegally. I had to laugh but was such a shame to put a bad slant on your visit. City visits are expensive wherever you go even if you don't get a parking ticket. Loving your videos even though the bike segments make me want to throw up at times. Have a great week. Xxx
Haha thanks Elizabeth that’s so funny 😆
The cold is the reason I moved to Charleston from Boston and never went back and now I'm sick of the heat and humidity. Lol.
The grass is always greener right? Haha
Trying Arizona next, lol. You would love Charleston SC. more historic buildings and height restrictions with better parking
Funny! JGConumdrum, I was just about to suggest you come to Arizona...Views for forever..Start with Tucson..ck out Prescott, Bisbee, Flagstaff, Patagonia.
@@sallind1 thank You. I think I will start around William's Arizona but I will check all the places You mentioned. 16 more months of buildings airplanes and then its van building time.
Hi Trent & Allie, I love your vids. Great accent Allie! Sorry you have a cold. Take care & say hi to
Frank.
Thanks Roger!!
Boston, the land of tickets. Geeze. You all have a great attitude about it. ~Smile!
I know right? what are they trying to do scare everyone off?
A warm Smoothie ... 🤨 Thank you for the great video of the Boston area, reminded me of when I grew up there. Just FYI about the weather my father used to say, “New England has 2 seasons Winter and August.
Haha that’s priceless!!
Oh wow. Two tickets on one day :-D That reminded me when I got a ticket in LA... shit happens. ;-)
That’s right!! It was annoying but oh well
Cracking me up with the North Eastern accent interpretation !!!
Glad you found some humor in it!! It's a hard one to master
Hot area in summer...lots to see and do..another great place to visit is Maryland Coast and Washington DC area...If you got the time and some funds, hook up with the DC Segway people and see DC by Segway...BEST
way to get around DC...use sidewalks and streets...13 in our tour...only suppose to be 3 hrs...turned into 5 hours...great guide...works doing this in summer...reg job is with oil company in Texas....👍PS...Next time park in the garage...puppy is safe and the penny chaser won't tag Van ...all us in Maine know this...
That sounds awesome!! We would love to do a segway tour!!
Let me know if you guys hit Rhode Island too - I’m in Westerly right now and you are free to park here - the beach here is something def to check out with the sunset over the water like the west coast!
Wish we would have seen this sooner!! bummer
Well if you ever come again! I am happy to show you MIT where I go to grad school and the Rhode Island beaches. Where are you guys now?
I am spending the weekend at my dads in nyc if you’re headed there - parking for high tops is expensive but doable! Also have a place in Stamford if you’re okay with taking the train.
Back on track, after pervious vid. Light years better. Sorry about the parking tickets - bummer. Don't make that mistake in NYC or SF. $100 will seem like a bahgun (bargain).
OH man I'm nervous about that now!
Parking ticket in SF is $78-$110 and NYC is $60-$125. Avoid those tickets if you can although they may not be much more than what the rip-off parking garages charge for parking.
Ouch! My sister sold me her car when she moved to Boston!!!😁 if you're still there, a huge outside market called Faneuil Hall is fun.
We went to faneuil hall!! It was great!!
Holy Crap....$100 bux to see Boston??? Guess Boston decided you were going to pay for those free tickets after all....hahaha I'm one of those dumb people who spent weeks and months up around Bedford for a year and the only thing I saw about Boston was driving in to the airport and out to Bedford. I was such an idiot! omgosh! Now I'm iike..Dude I need to go back and see all.of.the.things....*shaking my head* LOL Glad y'all had a great visit. I'm still laughing at Trent and the skyscrapers....hahhaaaa much love and safe travels!
Thanks Dee So glad we made you laugh and yeah you do need to get back there! can't believe you lived so close but never visited!! ;)
Aww I hope Trent didn't think I was laughing AT him..well..I was kinda..but I get having an idea of a place all of your life and then seeing it in reality and thinking..OMGosh! Wait...It's so ..MODERN...ahaahaha I was commiserating in laughter...did that work? ;) Yeah, I didn't live up there so much as I spent a few weeks at a time up there while training for a job. I drove up into Maine and spent a lot of time up there a good friend of mine, but I guess because I didn't know anyone in Boston I didn't do the sightseeing thing. And now that I am used to doing things alone and dont mind it, I wish I had done it then. I toured Philedelphia...so why I didn't see Boston I have no idea. Safe travels you two! Allie hope you get to feeling better
I did not like driving in Boston. It was too crazy. We did find a place to park finally and went to Mike’s Pastry shop. Next time I will go with someone who knows the city, maybe a tour. I felt much more comfortable in Plymouth.
Yeah I wish we had gone there too!!
In East Sandwich there is the Dexter Gristmill built by one of my ancestors, still operating for tourists to see. There is also a Sandwich Glass museum.
If you come down to Philadelphia Trent will have another heart attack about the buildings.
You're probably right!!
Mikes Pastry’s is the bomb!
yeah it is!!
Definitely more layers required! Speaking as a cold person living in Scotland🥶
There are in fact warm smoothies! See www.bostonmagazine.com/health/2016/02/17/warm-smoothie-recipes/ (appropriate choice of source also).
Also, 40 degrees F is not cold. It's pleasantly cool. Wimps. :)
Thanks Croft!! I can always count on you to come with the facts 😎🤘🏼
Actually now I kind of want to try a hot cinnamon apple smoothie... maybe time to give my hand blender something to do.
Love your videos.. Sorry you got tickets booo😣 love Frank to.. You guys always entertain me
Thanks Kelly!! So glad you liked the video 😊
That bostonian accent was hilarious 😂
Glad you liked it Peter!! We're working on it haha
there's a really great korean restaurant in Harvard Square we used to go to all the time. Can't remember the name of it. It's in the bottom level of the little "mall" there.
Wish we would have known!!
Cold temps and strict parking regs. I guess it's safe to say you guys aren't sticking around to catch a World Series game this week. You know there's a group of us who are starting to take bets on how far south you'll be by November 1st, right? JK! Be safe and stay warm!
We’ll be down a lot further south that’s for sure haha
You guys are too hilarious! 😂
:)
OMG.... can’t believe they got you twice! Boston is some tough parking.... use parking garages 😞
I think their van is to tall to fit in a parking garage and making the turns inside one would be very difficult...
I just got a ticket last night in Holland MI and it was only $15. So next time come to Holland to get your tickets...way more affordable!
I would love to!! That's actually reasonable!
You would like to get a ticket in Holland? I guess I can just send you mine.
haha yeah boston traffic and parking suuucks! next time you get a ticket, leave it there wherever you park and you likely won't be given another one :p you gotta cruise down to Providence, RI and the southcoast! :)
That's really sneaky and amazing!!
This is the mommy in me... being tired and wanting to sleep - clearly your body was fighting the onslaught of that cold. Your body needed the sleep. Then to walk around freezing, making your body expend much needed energy to stay warm rather than heal itself. Sweetie, go curl up in bed and ask Trent to make you a nice, warm cup of smoothie, er um soup.
In any case, thank you for sharing Boston, for those of us who have never been there. It's beautiful! (Sorry about the tickets!)
Thanks Tammy! That's very true we should have listened to Allie's body and stayed in bed! We probably could have avoided those tickets!! Haha. Glad you enjoyed the vlog though :)
Look at all the skyscrapers? 🧐 Trent is really going to be stunned when you get to San Antonio, the Alamo is surrounded by skyscrapers.
Oh man! Really?
Trent & Allie I promise it is true. 😀 Sorry about the parking tickets, a small example of why it is called “Taxachusetts”. Allie is getting better with her imitation of the Boston accent, but it still needs work. Take care, have a good week.
Allie’s accent was Spot On! The fact that I’ve never been to Boston is irrelevant. LOL
Get your girl a warmer coat! Seriously. Thrift stores are your friend. Save your money for parking;)
Haha yeah we got tickets to pay now! Can't buy any nice coats lol
Weird ... I was visiting Boston last week too. First Bar Harbor and now Boston. Could have bumped into each other. Boston is a great city but definitely not fun driving thru traffic and finding parking. 2 tickets in one day. Yikes.
Yeah we learned our lesson haha! and yeah that would have been so cool to bump into each other!!!
I got a parking ticket around the corner from Boylston st on my first trip to Boston and the rental car company sent it directly to me in California . Your in ticket country kids .
Yeah it's such a pain in the butt!!
You were possibly closer to cockney than Boston!
Or at least "Mockney".
ALWAYS set your phone alarm 15 minutes before you meter expires!!
Haha I think you’re right Roger!
