Deleting stuff is always part of the writing process whether it’s because it’s too long, like another comment said, or the idea just doesn’t work. Zellie, for example, would’ve just seemed repetitive and it was just...boring. Based on the timing and the nature of the joke, I guess they always wanted a joke about a character having a crush on someone but they opted to change it to Red having a crush on Charming probably because he actually serves a purpose to the story unlike Zellie and the joke just landed better. Everyone loved it. Also probably to avoid parents getting mad and losing viwers/ money on a very successful franchise and I agree because I wouldn't have like to see any thing from that community added either so I’m hoping they won’t.
It would have made it too long, think they made all those extra scenes to see which ones they could fit in with a fluid motion. They picked ones that were shorter possibly

Yeah that's probably what it was cuz she's never seen in the movies so why add her now it didn't make sense in the final cut or something
