I'm so glad you mentioned that motor. I bet all those extra passes over the baited area scared off fish. I hope you got to talk to the teams next to you and see what they were doing right.

Sometimes we fish, we wait weeks in anticipation, spend a lot of money, do a lot of research, give it our best and everything goes wrong when in your head you were so excited for something that turned out quite different... worste is when people next to you catch and you dont catch anything for days.
I have had that before. It might sound strange but your video feels real and true, its not about wowing us with 100s of carp, but learning us from mistakes and getting us to relate better as we know fishing can sometimes be tough. Thanks for the video, please dont stop and dont stop doing competitions! Love your work, your one of the best SA channels for carp fishing.

I have a totally novice question. I use to fish competitions in the USA: Bass, Crappie, Blue and Channel catfish / Shore : Dock : and boat set ups. I am now Retired and Living in Germany and would like to get into competition fishing in the EU. However I can find no specifics of how to accumulate points for ranking or where to find listings of the lower tear tournaments to gain points for the higher rankings. Any assistance from those who have made that journey would be greatly appreciated. David US Army Ret ; Germany
600 meters out ??? .... seems a bit extreme .... I've caught decent sizes by catching at around 40 - 50 meters, anyways very cool vid ... always good to try and learn from others and from your mistakes

Ever tried carying a rig with a drone.... That was monumemtal in a competition... rigging 1 kg of bait in soluble bags sown together with soluble floss and at the top a bag with the hook and bait.... no sound, no disturbance..... just a WTF from the neighbours..... And I've cought most big fish when it was complete silence and people were having a drink or eating or just sleeping at night. At a competition even my girlfred just got fed up withe waiting and trouwn a hook with a pop-up randomly near the bank.....got the biggest fish of her lifetime, but our posts were 100 m apart from the others

Pitty on that comp bud next time you enter and do your thing the right way,i know roodekoppies very well i fish that dam alot if you want lets go to that same venue where the carp classics was and go do a session there over a weekend what do u say,my channels name is freshwater turks lets go fishing together what do u say.
