It's good to see so much positivity around the Stop button idea. I think in a short time we will see larger ESD buttons fitted in various locations. I think a big button from the off would have frightened everyone 😉
I’ve never driven a tractor in my life, I do follow a few car channels too. This is hands down the best review I’ve seen of any motor vehicle! And makes me want to buy a tractor! The sheer no nonsense of the review, this is what it does and how it does it. So refreshing to see, excellent work Mr Muck
Very well said about the Stop button, and it's not just for an actual emergency. From personal experience: you could easily be tucked between the wheel and a machine and be just uneasy about your next move with a hose, shaft, etc but will most likely take the dodgy shortcut rather than squeeze out, get into into the cab, squeeze back in again. This puts the safer option right within your reach. Brilliant.
100% that's EXACTLY what it's for day in and day out. The ability to have something there in an emergency is just a real added bonus and that could stop you having to use it in the event of an emergency.
That emergency stop button would be a better feature if it was a bigger round button like the ones on other industrial equipment, I mean even trains have an easily spotted big round button for the fuel shut off. In-cab sound level is probably the stand-out feature, it makes a huge difference to driver/operator comfort in any vehicle. I know my hearing has suffered from driving trucks, where you're unlikely to find much in the way of sound deadening, because the manufacturers are chasing every tenth of a kilogram for the sake of load capacity, over the driver going deaf from all the noise of the engine, the road and the wind they're subjected to for 9 hours a day or more.
Have always liked this lord muck channel from the first time I watched the early videos, hence I subscribed , since then have never been disappointed, like I have been when looking at other channels !!!!! And so , you are now stuck with me as a viewer !!! Just loved this new Holland video, many people don’t have access to these sort of tractors, so how great it was to see over the tractor & what they are set up like inside !!!!👍👍👍 You can just see the amount of work that went into making the video, not something all of us can just do !!! Like many of us , I’ve had some “close ones “at the back of tractors, fiddling with attachments, arms , hitches etc Brilliant idea to have buttons outside, rather than reaching here & there !!! I can’t really see how a “stop “ switch has been overlooked for so long on farm equipment ???? Really good idea that !!!
Really like being able to configure the spools now. Have a 2008 T7060 at work that we ran a separate hose from a rear spool to be able to put a front mower into float. Also have a 2018 T7.260 which now has the ability to put the front spool into float but with a triple mower I now find myself moving my hand between the joystick and the paddles! So very pleased to see we can now configure any spool to any lever just like we've been able to on pc games for the last ten years! Thanks for the video!
It's nice to see the results of a manufacturer listening to it's customers. As others have said the kill switch should be mandatory on all machinery like this.
With the equipment I drive I carry this control box in my pocket it has 2 buttons on it, top button turns on the pto which runs a pump on the truck 2nd button is a stop button shuts off the whole truck completely safety is important.
Can’t fault it can you really… great video, and really pleased to hear it’s quieter inside the cab as I find our T7 just noisy enough. Your mans right about the position of the exhaust break too. We have them on our Pumas, great for road work when hauling heavy loads all day long. Massively saves your breaking system. Obviously the stop kill button almost everyone has commented on is a revelation.. my only wish would be that the button be located on the right hand side of those cluster of buttons so it’s nearer to the middle of the backend of the tractor giving you a bit less stretch to reach for it if you are caught or stuck somehow.
I have NEVER been a New Holland farmer, I have always been a John Deere farmer and ever since watching this video, I am considering New Holland (Mainly for the kill switch.) too replace our 6215R. Great video pal.
Couldn't have asked for anymore, just another straight forward honest view from your perspective (and two others !) I take all tractor reviews with a pinch of salt until I've seen what Mucka has to say ! 🤜
Great video! It's crazy seeing these tractors sometimes and realising just how far they have come from the classics and vintage tractors. Love the emergency button don't know why we've never had them before
i work in the Basildon factory, and the tractor you have is i think the best one we make or my favourite and i think thats why you like all the gizmos it comes with :D. im surprised you said the seat is the best seat youve had in one as i dont think much of them but im no farmer :) nice to see someone happy with their vehicle. its also quite a nice place to work in my opinion.
@@LordMuck for me it was the headroom getting in and out the tractors. especially the HD lines. i felt so much more comfortable getting in and out of them (because i do it all day non stop)
I recently watched reviews of several top-of-the-range American pick-up trucks and they were pretty delighted with 68 decibels in the cab. 66, in a tractor, seems impressive, to say the least.
I am impressed! I thought that the colour was its most outstanding feature. I was wrong! Whilst the colour is still fantastic (irrelevant, I know), the 'kill switch' button is absolutely fantastic! You are right, how could agriculture have come this far without it?! I also really like the speedometer positioning - far better location for tractors. It is a good example of using the advantages of current technology to good use and not being tied to the past when analogue gauges were bulky and had to be in the dashboard for mere logistical reasons. The designers and engineers at New Holland have clearly put a lot of effort into this tractor.
That emergency stop button might have just made me buy New Holland you done the best review of a tractor I've seen I was concerned about the steering wheel now I'm not and I do like the fact that you can change the hydraulics to the way you want them without changing the lines outside 👍👍👍
Another great vid great watching Emergency Stop buttons should be like on industrial machines, big red buttons with a yellow background with emergency stop wrote on it in big black letter. Once pressed they should lock in so you have to physically twist them to make them come out, it will then allow you to restart the machine but only from the main starting point It’s what has been used on industrial machinery for years all well proven stuff. If it stops one incident it’s worth it. Think it may even be the law on industrial machinery (Part of the PUWER regs I think).
I haven't driven or even been close to a tractor in over 30 years, and to be honest my knowledge is extremely poor at best - - but, I am subscribed, and enjoy watching your videos (especially repairs/restorations etc) and I subscribed purely because your delivery is engaging, you don't talk down to us but rather on a level. Best video you’ve put out, top job 👍🏻
I wonder if there is a brightness adjuster for the lights
Excellent interestin video Kurt really enjoyed it as an old school tractor driver just found it totally mind bogglin🤔😂 but like everyone else that kill switch is a fantastic idea 👍👍
If you go to work dressed like a wizard! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍
Good video Mucka...that's some tractor...
I am a bit old for that tractor, I would have to ask my son how it works and what buttons to press. I agree that every tractor should have exterior operator kill switches! I would not need my son for those!
Cant wait to try this new cab, they are a lot smarter than the currant ones, I still couldn't have the screen on the front of the wheel though because I hold it by the center spokes, don't know why but I do. Great video as always
🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️ best let it guide itself 😉😂
Great video. Cannot wait to try one. I drive a 21 plate T7.270. Looks like many improvements on my current one. Better for doing my videos in as quieter haha.
I think that killswitch can help getting someone to hear you if you are yelling for help.
That's a very good point 👍
Been keeping my eye on everything. Brilliant content so far enjoyed the Fud weasel last video tc until the next one. 🤙👍
Excellent review Lord Muck 👍 this update from newholland was long overdue, any word of when it's being past on to the smaller T7's ? but yes a super bit of video👏👏
Amazing tractor. Good, honest review as always. Thanks for another top quality video.👍
Love the Chanel and love the content brilliant
Great video! This tractor looks like a pleasure to drive and work in!
