- This extended commercial can be found on Gekkan Nintendo Tentou Demo 2004.6.1 (月刊任天堂店頭デモ２００４年６月号). For information about this demo disc, see redump.org/disc/68091/. Huge thanks to the PikminWiki for having a good translation of Tane No Uta which I largely copied for this video's subtitles.
Q: How did I create the colored subtitles?

this song is actually kinda good for learning japanese with the different terms and colors... so much so that we used it in my japanese class lmao
Something about this commercial makes me feel nostalgic. Its simple clay animation is so charming, and the song used the background is a cherry on the top. It's a nice piece of media being persevered on the internet.

There's something about the claymation artstyle alongside the typical stuff the Pikmin do for the extended version commercial that makes it very memorable...

Commercials are usually annoying so I think this one has done an amazing job if it’s made me watch it willingly multiple times, though it might also just be because I love pikmin so much. It’s so charming, the song is very pretty as well as even though I don’t speak Japanese

The American Pikmin 2 commerical is funny. I don't agree that it is worse or better, just different. Personally, I love both.
