So while I don’t use amps anymore, I love your channel (I’m an amp-head at heart). Your ear for tone is superb. That’s why I’d love to see more modeler content from you. You have such a discerning ear, that you’d be able to really dial stuff in or determine if a modeler really has what it takes.
I’ve used both Helix and fractal, so would really just love to see you dive in.

I'm thinking about buying this and I´m so glad and grateful you took the time to tweak the presets to your liking instead of just trying out every preset, since I needed to hear what sounds the Arena 2000 can achieve and not what sounds it already has. Great demo!
Nice to see you using something outside of your "comfort zone". You made it Sound really really good! I use my modeller (connected via 4CM) with my 5150. This way i can use my normal overdrives with my tube amp, or i swap presets to go direct into fx loop return of my amp and use the modeller amps. Keep up the good work kyle!

I have the mini Donner Echo Square and Verb Square pedals and they're great for cheap pedals. This sounds really good too.

I've tried every sub-$500 modeller out there and the only one I didn't immediately sell was the Ampero2. It just feels better than any others I've tried.

Sounds pretty good. I ended up going with the Valeton GP-200. It took some tweaking but i got it sounding real good. Bump the bass and scoop the mids and the 2600hz with a narrow que...
"Comes into handy." LOL! I love how you leave in the mistakes. Great video bro. You made this thing sound killer. Also, I just read that it can load up to 50 third party IR's using the editing software and it can load IR's of up to 23.2ms in length. That's a lotta IR's.
Actually the software doesn't recognize it so there's no loading of 3rd party IRs

Awesome straight tone demo Kyle. I am an amp tone chaser myself. I haven’t gotten into modelers and pc rigs yet. I like plugging straight into my Peavey ultra plus 120 run in stereo with my PRS MT15 tremonti but for this price point and your demo you made me “impulse buy” lol and try this with my Headrush frfrs. Thanks for the awesome demos and honest opinions. Had to pull that trigger @ $232 shipped. Looking forward to going down the modeling wormhole with this before I start selling stuff for a Fractal. Was looking at the mooer and hotones etc. you made this one look and sound a bit enticing. Thanks again for the demos. Made it sound and look easily usable . Thanks for nudge!!

Great video I bought a zoom modeler the cheap 150$$$ and was hoping to use it as a stand alone amp to practice with headphones for my apartment… and was surprised !!! You do need to tweak it and play around like you did with donner. And I do my demo for my band and bring ideas to my friends. Live the donner it’s really like the zoom . It’s just s little bit more advance but for price point is legit!!🤘🏻💎🔥🔥🔥💯

This sounds good ,i bought a Marshall code 100 H head from Sweetwater awhile back its discontinued now, but its has some good Marshall stuff going on the Marshall Jubilee i am fond of. This Donner modeler is pretty nice at 270.00 not bad almost thought about the Pod Go line 6. nice demo Kyle as always man !!😃

Sounds great, nice compact unit for gigs rather than a pedal board, Question for you Kyle which lunch box unit did you like more the PRS MT15 or the Orange OR15? Use really seemed stoked on the OR15, I have never owned a tube amp and was thinking about picking 1 up.

One thing that can help most modeler's tone, PARTCULARLY lower end units, is to set a low and high cut. 80 to 120 hz fir low 6-8K on the high cut. Loses a digital artifacts that make it sound less real.

Oh man now that you have Sweetwater affiliation, what are your thoughts on the Bluguitar Amp 1 Iridium floor amp?
Iridium is one of my favorite pieces of gear. Classic channel, SD-1 in front and off to the races. I use mine on a 1960A that is loaded with greenbacks.
I put a Freedman clone with a klone clone boost and just use the arena for the effects.threw a killer Fender valve twin

Kyle always gets such great tones, but I feel like there's a little bit of the Ola Englund curse going on where people might think hi makes everything "sound the same". In reality i think Kyle is just really good at dialling in the type of sound he likes.

Sounds quite good for 250. I'll have to grab one.
There's a little digitalness to the dist but whatever. The right cab IR and/or power amp sim can fix (or at least cover) it.
Would be interested in an overdrive and fuzz compare using this thing. The Rat especially interests me. That and a chugthrough of some of the other amp models. 80 amps sure, but I just hope they're not generic EQ curved approximations. Cynic, what can I say. :p

That's what I always look for.. it takes a while on this thing, but playing with the mic models helps a lot. I am dissatisfied with the effect stereo out, but man the amps are pristine. I like my Zoom g3x better for high gain infinity 👽

Kyle, the build in IR is so harsh and can't compete with your own IR. But amp sound is good and better than vst modeler from few years ago.

Well this little guy was impressive. It was a bit harsh on the top end with that 1960 cab. BUT I'm not on my headphones or monitors rn. Just cell phone so that very well could be the problem.
Kyle if you're wanting to explore more modelers for the channel, I'm particularly interested in the mooer preamp live. I'm thinking it would be a great substitute for my evh head. If I run the preamp live into a power amp like the seymour duncan power stage, I can not bring my amp to bars and clubs. I've got this beautiful amp here in mint condition. Hell I dust it every couple weeks. The last thing I want is for that amp to smell like an ashtray or some drunk spill a beer on it ya know. So I'm looking for something I can have at least 3 channels (the mooer has 4) and sound convincing. It has a capture feature and I'm thinking i can just copy my tone strait to it by capturing my amp. Id love to see the belligerent amateur take on this thing before I get brave enough to pull the trigger.

Mooer is actually sending me the GE300 soon, so I will be exporing the capture function on that unit! If there is enough interest, I will definitely try to get a preamp live soon! It all depends where their marketing focus is so I have to work that out with them

For everyone to get the most out of each video, it would make sense that you are lined up with the agenda (I don't mean that in the negative way some people use it) of the companies you're working with. I mean why would a company push marketing for a unit thats several years old?! But to be fair, I do think the preamp live hits way above its price point based on what I've seen from it. I just wonder if its all smoke and mirrors or legit. If I get into it, will I be satisfied or disappointed? I think I'm just gonna have to jump into it. I mean Taylor Delaney covered it and it seemed legit there. Idk. I just get so nervous about spending money on anything anymore. I've made my fair share of poor purchases. Lol

Not too shabby. Modeling has come along way. However, in the intro clip, I couldn't hear a difference when it switched from the JCM 800 to the Savage. I also agree that modelers don't quite nail the feel of an amp. Coming from an Axe-Fx to now owning a Rockerverb MKIII, EVH Stealth and a Mesa Dual Rec Multi-Watt...I'll never go back to modelers.

Man it depends. I don't need all the bells and whistles of a modeler live so I would more than likely gravitate towards a preamp pedal/poweramp pedal type deal if I needed portability.

Not directly, but you could output the signal of the modeler into a power amp that has your cab connected to it.
For the price, this should be in every gigging musician's bag as a backup unit. PeriodT
I have a question.What of a mini amp like 20w or 30w you would recommend for rehearsal with the drummer?Is it possoble that PRS MT 15 would handle rehearsal?
100 percent
The PRS is NOT 15 Watts, it is running big boi 6l6 at lower voltages, but it can crank almost double the rated power rating!! It works more like a subdued 50W amp than a supped up 15watter.
Does someone know if it has a Diezel VH4 model?
