Ok. First of all, that is the best bass playing I have ever seen. Ever (next to Geddy of course 😊). Secondly, how long have you been playing to master this song in this incredible fashion?! Lastly, how did you learn the Geddy flamenco technique so perfectly?!?!?!?! Amazing!!!
+Mysterious Internet Guy Thanks! I taught myself Rush's entire catalog to learn to play like the master himself! I've been playing bass for almost 11 years, but learned the Hemispheres album back in 2007. And finally, I learned the flamenco technique by watching R30 and Rush in Rio over and over. Animate from R30 is a good video to watch, and the albums Counterparts and Vapour Trails are particularly flamenco heavy, so they are good for practicing
+Skylar Cook Hi! So I plugged my bass into a sansamp RPM, and sent two feeds into my computer. One is the distorted sansamp feed, and the other is an unaffected DI feed. Then I ran the DI through an amp sim called BIAS Amp and played both tracks simultaneously! I also upgraded the pickups to the Fender Custom Shop 60's jazz bass pickups. They added a little more punch and clarity over the stock pickups
I was waiting for the bass solo at the 4 minute mark and you nailed it!!!!
Grrrrrreat song, superb job!
Holy shit this is perfection. Congratz man. You deserve way more views, likes and subs. I subbed even tho im no bassist.
Excellent! 🤘
Dude, all your Rush covers are superb. Both technique and sound are amazing. Hope you keep uploading more of them

+jcmusikprojekt Wow. You truly are a master. You don't need no tutorials, only a video of Geddy, a turntable, a determination. Much respect.

Holy shit dude.
What the fuck.
This is so good! Jesus
idk if you read these comments, but id like to know what gear you're using to get your tone, what amp? and if any pedals what pedals

+jcmusikprojekt thank you kindly! btw you ripped the song almost better than geddy ;)
Well it sure as hell ain't note for note. Some stuff is just plain wrong. Other parts ur just making it up.
Good job, but clean the room the next time!!!
you lose some of the notes in the bass solo im afraid
Have you uploaded a video rectifying this?
Good but not accurate. You need to get the staccato lines played better .
Look forward to seeing your video of a flawless playthrough.
