Does the windshield work/help?
It does. Takes a lot of wind pressure from your upper body. But in my case it throws most of the wind to the top part of my helmet. Which means there is less pressure but more wind noise while riding. I mainly use the shield to keep insects away from my GoPro anyway. It also works quite well for that.

du musst solche Wechselkurven dann noch auf einer kippeligen CB500 erleben...besser geht's für mich wirklich kaum :D

Buchst du eigentlich die Hotels im Voraus und hast eine geplante Route oder fährst du drauf los und suchst dir jeweils ein Hotel im Verlauf des Tages?
danke dir!! In dem Fall hatte ich ein Airbnb Quartier in Bozen. Bin dann für zwei Tage jeweils Tagestouren ohne Gepäck gefahren. Die Pässe hab ich mir jeweils am Vorabend per Google Maps rausgesucht!

Totally agree on the "fresh Italian Tarmac". I live in the extreme north-east part of Italy, and I'm familiar with that tricky tarmac. Not ALL fresh tarmac roads are bad, but don't trust 'em all ;)

In der Gegend gibt es ein paar wirklich geile Pässe, vor allem die Runde über den San Pellegrino, Valles, Rolle und Cereda ist genial, bist du wahrscheinlich auch schon gefahren, ist mal was anderes als die überlaufene Sella Ronda!
Cereda noch nicht! Und nein, ich bin dort eig. noch so gut wie gar nix gefahren. Konnte mir selten mehr als zwei Tage Südtirol pro Jahr leisten :) Danke für den Tipp!

Hey! I've been watching your videos for quite a while now, I love every one! Keep up the amazing work and inspirational riding. I just have one question, as I'm from Australia I can't imagine riding public roads like this legally, I'd really love to tour some European countries by bike and Austria is one of them, I notice you blur the speedo around 130, is that the average limit on the roads you ride?

Danke für deine "Testfahrten". Jetzt hab ich wieder eine Strecke mehr auf meiner Wunschliste! Großartige Fahrerei. Ich verwende das Castrol Grand Prix bei Louis, hab die besten Erfahrungen damit und außerdem kostet es wenig. Ist auch immer zu Saisonanfang noch mal billiger. Hab mir auch die teuersten Öle angesehen, doch, wie du sagst, diese sind nicht ideal für ältere Radln wie die CB. Ich wechsle jährlich das Öl, plus Filter, also ca. alle 6000km.
es gibt auch teure Öle, die für ältere Radln gmacht sind ;)

nawww I've seen the same phenomenon happening in Austria :D :D
In Austria it is part of an advanced machine learning process which consists of (mostly balkan) workers going for a beer while machines are left to learn how to do roadworks autonomously.

Hi Schaaf quick 2 things. (don't think they been answered or in comments) 1) how do you scrape peg - do you lean off the bike or do you keep both butt cheeks glued to the seat and finally 2) i really dislike the way your bike rattles when slowing down. (wheel bearing most likely which im sure you know)
I don't move my body when riding the CB. My bearings are OK

Bei uns interessiert sich keiner fuer Motorradfahrersicherheit. Hauptsache du pickst die shice pickerl ans Bike und zahlst noch fuer die Bitumenfüllerasfinagabzocker. Erfahrene Biker rutschen drüber und ignorieren es bis Grip wieder kommt. Ohne Erfahrung liegst. Toller ride Schaaf.
Seh ich ähnlich. Ich werd' heuer eh ein Video aufnehmen, in welchem ich ein paar Fragen an den österr. Straßenbau stellen möchte.
1985 . Nähe Höllenthal. Bundesstraße Kurve. Damals war dort 100km/h erlaubt. Hab dort ein Kleinmotorrad die Kurve hinausgeschmissen. Zu schnell gewesen. Die Wiese dort langgerutscht. Ziemlich weit. Konnte heimfahren mit leichten schrammen. Heute ist dort 70/Kmh. Sie haben auch extra eine Leitschiene zum töten hinmontiert.
