  • Showstopper! is an Olivier award-winning, full-length musical. But it is entirely made up on the spot. Here its creator and cast give a taste of musical improvisation, along with its guiding principles of listening, committing, and embracing change. Adam Meggido is the co-creator and director of Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, the first improvised show ever to win a major theatre award (Olivier Award winner - Best Entertainment and Family 2016). Showstopper! has played in twelve countries and enjoyed a series on BBC Radio 4. It also won the Broadway World Audience Vote for Best Comedy at the Edinburgh Festival 2017 and a Chortle Comedy Award for Best Improv, Character or Sketch 2016. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

It's Dr Lenin! (See Nina Conti in Therapy). Now we see how Adam got his brilliant improv experience for Nina's series.

That Budapest song was amazing. How can they come up with lines that scan and rhyme so quickly?
