Me too. Started to search more about the actor behind Joseph Seed in Far Cry 5. Found this video and kinda came here for Far Cry memes in the comments. Decided to watch the video too and... It was such emotional and empowering speech. Kudos to Greg Bryk. He's a talented actor for sure and I think he's saying the right things here.

Impressive. Not only for the message but also the delivery - done without script and teleprompter. I guess it was most effective for that reason. It gave one the feeling of living the part and being captivated by Greg's life experience.
What a fabulous and truly inspirational speech!!! I wish I could have watched this when I was still in my prime & planning my work & life in general. I know I would have done a lot of things differently! Even now at 50, I am still trying to find myself, outside of all the expectations & limitations of family & of life in general. I will definitely be getting my kids to watch this!
This speech changed my life three years ago. I play it now occasionally as a reminder to continue to pursue the life of MY dreams. Thank you Greg Bryck! I will forever be grateful.
If you're into gaming you should definitely get Far Cry 5. Greg Bryk plays the main antagonist (he gave the main antagonist his voice and ..well.. body) and its perfect.
I watched this once, I felt inspired. I watched this again straight after, I took notes and wrote out my character. I finally innerstood everything he was saying. I will watch this daily to remind myself, and hopefully return back to this comment section in the future when I am living the life I designed.
Do you have training as an actor or writer? Did you use some other resource to to write out your character? Or did you just follow what he said in the video?

Greg Bryk isn’t an A list actor. You wouldn’t normally think of him when it comes to big screen movies. HOWEVER, he is a phenomenal actor and doesn’t get enough credit or roles I think he should get in today’s day and age. Definitely good playing a bad guy. Keep it up Greg!

When i see Joseph Seed (Greg Bryk) in Farcry 5 I was Shocked by his masterpiece Expressions on his face, His calm and clear Voice but it was a Video game but when I search about him in Real life I was Shocked that this Fictional Villian is Real. I was going to try and articulate a comment that didn’t mention Far Cry but I just can’t. He knew when he became The Father we were never gotta let him live it down. Tough luck, dawgie!
Wow, this is so insightful! I've never seen the TV series he was in, so hearing him was a new experience for me. He's a great speaker with very applicable ideas. Thank you for sharing!
I hate how videogames nowadays need to put a disclaimer that it is fictional content, so that people aren't offended. Why are other types of media allowed to explore various deep political and philosophical topics but not games? If it's player's participation, that's a poor excuse.
I wonder if he gets sick of being referred to as Father and referencing Far Cry 5. I hope not because I think he’s just an extremely beautiful and so very smart. So philosophically beauteous, and amazingly moving.
When we are searching we may be told to choose. When we are in action we may be told to settle. What makes us want to choose or struggle for choice or fall or come into action is the essence of living. What makes us strive or juxtapose holds us by pain or fear or love or empowerment. What and who helps us live the lives we want are the people and questions that involve a dare. We are lucky if what dares us knows and becomes us and helps us share transformation sustains and helps us thrive by moments, days or a lifetime and when we want to be so much we can hardly be, we hold a place to feel and become whatever we want. Art and stories are a space that speaks on all sides to do that so we can come to rest and we rest to come to action. All spaces speak to others. All of it has meaning. We all share in the same existential restlessness of being human. Sometimes even the search for self by becoming all things can still feel confining just because we’re human. However we do it, it’s important to remember that we can create a new reality so long as we live and we do whether we choose to or not. We always exist in that creation. You are creating even now, even of it’s only on the inside. All we have to do is find a way to let what we can’t help but create come to life. What we can’t help but create is life itself.
