Hey Steve, I totally agree. That area was so beautiful to ride and explore, the views were amazing! We are wanting to get back out there one of these days. Thanks for checking out the video!
Just wanted to thank you for your video's on colorado they helped make my trip there an awesome success. This year our group is going to ride the piaute trails in utah. Keep on making the videos they are great.
Hey there, my friend, you’re welcome. We enjoy making the videos. Glad they were able to help you out in Colorado The Piaute trail is something we want to do ourselves one of these days. Have fun on your trip to Utah! We appreciate you checking out the videos!
@kcatv9556 I will be posting videos after the trip and will include places we stayed in and the trails we rode. Colorado was awesome, for sure. Many thanks to you and all of the riders in your ever growing group.
Epic adventures in the Rockies KC! It would only be a short 37hr drive to get out to that side of the country for myself. Definitely on the bucket list! I watched Q's trip out in BC. Beautiful landscape! May have to retire out that way. ;) Cheers!
Yeah I watched Q’s video from BC as well. The views when riding in mountains like that is so cool! 37hr.. now that would be quite the road trip. Thanks for checking out the video my friend!
atvguy63.. Hope you enjoyed our Colorado series of videos!! One more to come tonight!! Beautiful country in Colorado for sure! Fun place to ride. Thanks for checking out the videos and subscribing greatly appreciated!!
We will be going up there this coming august in the San Juan mountains and My nephew and I are staying 3 more days than the rest and we plan on going to Tin Cup. Its only 2hrs away from Lake City where we be staying. Thanx again for taking us along.
You'er very welcome Bob hope you enjoyed the video. That sounds like a fun trip we haven't been to the San Juan mountains But anywhere in Colorado is got to be Beautiful!! I would recommend getting a trail map at the trading post there in Taylor park. It's very helpful showing you where the trail are at in that area around Tin Cup. Thanks for viewing and commenting Bob greatly appreciated!! KC.
Awesome, love the Colorado Passes! Didn't get to Cumberland when I was there though...Mosquito Pass at 13,100 was very cool! Very nice riding Guys, beautiful area! Waiting for the Ghost Town!
Hey Rob.. Yeah riding in Colorado it's fun to do the passes get to the top of the Mountains and see the view!! Love it! working on the Ghost Town video now. Thanks for viewing and commenting Rob! KC.
CT TTR .. Some beautiful views in Colorado for sure! It was on our list for quite a few years. Thanks for watching and commenting very much appreciated!!
Great Colorado videos! I’m headed to that area next month so I’ve been watching yours several times over. Do you happen to remember what trail that is at the 18:30 mark? Can’t wait to get out there and see what you have recorded! Keep making them!
Hi Scott I did the same thing, watch and their folks videos and wanted to go see it for myself. The views while riding in Colorado are second to none! It’s beautiful! Have fun on your trip and thanks for watching our videos we greatly appreciate it!!
Sorry for the delayed response. I can not find the trails # of that trail. I do know it was a 50" or less trail. The entrance was in between Tincup and mirror lake off trail 267 on the left. It shows it on the map but has no trail # Just pic of ATV. Hope that helps!
That valley on your right hand side at the beginning looked massive! I checked out Cumberland Pass on GE. Looks like an amazing area to ride! WOW, that is some amazing view from 12.5 thousand feet! Is that your daughter riding the red 2-wheeler? That big spool with the wire cable was interesting. Maybe it was a winch from a giant ATV? haha! I think I saw a real life cowboy in that log cabin town - LOL. Riding up those mountain trails is soooo much fun! Especially when you see a "somethin'or'nother" - lol - I'd sure like to know what the heck was that pile of rocks is supposed to represent and how long has it been there? Maybe it was built by a "real life miner" a hundred years ago as a marker of some sort??? The video shot at 18:25ish and the pic you took at 18:47 = WOW! Gotta really pay attention to the trail so as to not go off or like you say, you'd be a goner! This was the best Colorado video so far. Really enjoyed it. Thanx for sharin' KC!
Hey Q .. Yeah for us that's what it's all about riding in Colorado is the view!!! Like looking around from the mountain tops!! Yep that's our daughter on the red Honda and son-in-law on the blue two wheeler. I would have liked to stop and look at that "somethin'or'nother"LOL But when your riding with a group you really don't have the time to stop and investigate somethin'or'nother or you'll get left behind!! LOL Like when I was looking at that cable winch for large ATVs they were already down at the bottom of the hill. Hey wait on me guys!! I like looking at that old stuff!! We stumbled across that 50" or less trail there at the end that was on the side of a mountain. That was one of the funnest trails!!! we like narrow trails where it feels like you'er on a trail and not a road. With the popularity of S by S the trails get pushed out so wide you can drive a car on them or truck or jeep or Honda accord lol Oh and by the way thanks for the best Colorado video so far!! hopefully I don't chop the next one up to bad lol hahaha Thanks for viewing and commenting Q!!!
Great vids, we are heading out in 10 days, what is the name of the 50" trail? I would love to ride it as we are camping at lakeview campground on Taylor reservoir.
Hi Anthony, yes, that has happened to me as well, but not on the side of a Colorado mountain LOL It was on a small trail deep in the woods, Arkansas. Thanks for checking out the video
Hi Tim, I believe the rates at holts was $160 a night for that small cabins. Yes you can ride your quad directly to the trails from holts. You just run down the gravel roads to all of the different trails. Hope that helps you out, thanks for checking out the video.
@@kcatv9556 We just made reservations for Taylor park July of 2023. We got the last two cabins at the trading post. Thanks for your videos they have been very helpful and entertaining.

Beautiful area I've ridden many times. You've captured a good deal of it. Makes me want to go back. Now, I'm gonna be that guy... You folks really need to stay on the trails. There are a few spots in your video where you've gone off trail. That's exactly the kind of thing that is ultimately going to get these trails closed to ATV's. There is a real battle raging right now, with local trails rights advocates in the Gunnison area fighting off pressure from environmentalists to close these trails altogether. The single most pointed to issue is ATV riders going OFF TRAIL. If you care about preserving this area for future ATV riders (which I believe you do), then please stay on the trails at all times. I'm not saying you did this a lot, but every little transgression is cataloged by environmentalists who monitor these videos, trust me. All that aside, I'm glad you guys enjoyed the area and hope you'll return. Loved your footage. Steve
Hello, Steve.. You're absolutely right, we wouldn't want to do anything that is detrimental to having the (privilege) to explore Colorado on ATV trails. I do appreciate you commenting and thanks for the reminder to stay on trail.
Hey, MattN03 .. We live in Kansas with the elevation is about 975 ft. So yes it was quite the change there in Colorado I think the campground was at 9000 ft and of course we rode the trails that all went up from there. All of our bikes except for one is fuel injected so those bikes had no issues with the elevation change. My buddy that had the yellow Polaris it was a little older machine and it was carbonated and yes he had to make a pretty drastic change on jetting I think the factory jetting is like 150s and I think he went down to 125's on the main jet. It helped out a little bit but it was still really down on power but it had enough power to ride the trails no problem but you could tell all the bikes were down on power. Thanks for watching and commenting appreciated!
KC's ATV World, how did you like the Taylor Park resort? Are the trails well marked? Did anyone get elevation sickness? We're in KY @ around 600-800' elevation.
MattN03 .. We actually stayed in the holt's guest ranch cabins just down the road from Taylor Park resort. We couldn't seem to get a reservation there at the Taylor Park cabins they were always filled up over a year in advance. The trails yes they are Mark really well and you can pick up a trail map there at the trading post at Taylor Park. As far as elevation sickness didn't really notice any of that. The biggest issue was trying to stay hydrated. It's so dry and you don't realize that you getting dehydrated pretty quickly I think when we were on what's called flag mountain where it is I believe 12,600 ft . You can sure tell you were at a high elevation kind of lightheaded you know what I mean.hahaha. The trip was a blast we will probably be going back out there just don't know when.
how much was your Garmin GPS and how much is a chip for the fourwheeler trails I can't find a trail map for fourwheelers around my area only snowmobile trails and they are mostly paved and you can't ride four wheeler on the paved trails
Hey, Kevin the GPS units I was using the one on the left is a automotive street version I think It's about $150.00 It's not a trail GPS just has road maps. The one on the right is Garmin eTrex 20 price around $175 to 200 It just make a track of where you ride. So you make your own map of where you have ridden. If you want a map of the trails in that area you can buy a trail map at the Taylor park trading post there at Taylor park. Hope that helps ya Bud!
Don't care for ATVs. They seem to be everywhere tearing up many areas where they should not be driving. Not staying on the main roads and cutting off across country and causing some areas to be closed to All 4x4s. If the trail was 50" or less that means it's not for motorized vehicles. Just one example of poor stewardship of our mountains. Stay only on well established roads to the State don't come in and close them to everyone.
@@trebrown1078 Took you a while to respond, eh? I suppose you don't care how "people" drive their ATVs and tear up our mountains. I would never pick on an ATV.
