- No joke at all these are some of the best trails to ride MTB (at least on the eastern US side).
These trails have insanely long downhills that have a very fast flow and it feels like you are descending forever.

Nothing but flow on that trail. Super fun. Kinda far from Long Island (4 hours) but it's worth it.

it's a lot of fun at night with a good headlight. I live 2 miles away and go everynight around 7:30pm when nobody is there. I see bears, deer, and owls.

Not sure how well you know Elm Ridge but did the private owner open field me back up? You get there from berm out. Hoping he opens it up again but I think the last time I rode it was like 2019 at this point
I heard about this place but didn't get to there
I was there yesterday, I took berm out all the way down past anything listed on trailforks all the way to the state road at the bottom. The trail keeps going, there are a ton of signs that say "No tresspassing" for hunters and motorized vehicles, but bikes weren't explicitly told they cannot be there.
Anyway I definitely rode through a huge field downhill which led to some big and nice dirt jumps at the bottom of the field, but I could tell it was overgrown and not maintained recently. Hope this answers your question.
