Fabulous video Alex! I first climbed to Pavey Ark 52 years ago, and did it again in 2022 in memory of a friend who first introduced me to the Lakes all those years ago. The Lake District is magical, and I am hoping to go camping there again this year. Thanks for all the great videos, particularly of the Peak District, my local area.
Wow that’s brilliant Peter! I bet the Langdale Valley was a little quieter 52 years ago. Brilliant you got back up there in memory of your friend, I always find the mountains a special place for remembering loved ones. Definitely get that camping trip booked 👍👍 thank you for all your support and kind words Peter it really means a lot! 😊
Alex, another first class film of outstanding quality and views. Langdale is a truly magical area. I've walked your route several years ago in similar conditions so it brought back great memories. thanks and can't wait for your next film
Superb Video Alex! I can absolutely see why you love the Langdales, absolutely beautiful! A nice lot of ascent, well rewarded by those stunning views. Loved watching this tonight, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this. Top job! 👍 Sounds like the snowfall was epic 😀
Thank you very much Greg! Definitely one of my favourite places in the Lakes and highly recommend it when you’re next up there! Really do appreciate your continued support over the past few years, it means a lot!! Cheers 😊
Great video. Did this route a couple of weeks ago in the snow and ice! The descent of Pavey Ark is hideous! Remember climbing Mark Gate to Loft Crag thinking I wouldn't like to come down this way!! If only I'd known!! 😂
Great and very scenic trail in Langdale District. Looks like you had the trail to yourself. Thanks for taking us on this beautiful hike. Have a great day.
Amazing video. I’ve recently just done the langdale pikes and you’re so right that view from the top of pike of Stickle was just breathtaking! Good job +1 sub 👍🏻
Alex, really enjoyed video, at last the link to OS Maps of your route and future routes I hope, it linked directly to my OS Maps and is a route I looked forward to tackling in the near future. Thank you 😊
Great video. Thank you. I notice you tend to keep your yellow tupilac on throughout your hikes - using your hard outer layer as a windshirt. I guess you just have a base layer (Helly Hansen??) underneath. I note the Tupilac doesnt seem have pit zips. If that's the case, how do you regulate your body temp wearing the tupilac all the time?
Thanks Alex, great to see those views again, can't do that walk anymore so you stir those memories!
Thank you 😊 glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Alex. Miss it when we can't get up there ourselves but this gave me a little Lake District fix. Thank you
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Plenty of fresh air on that one. Best wishes.
Great video mate, the langdale valley is tremendous 🙌🏼
Thank you! Can’t beat it can you 😊

Thank you! It’s a great route isn’t it, I can imagine that descent with ice and snow underfoot being horrible 😂

Oh my I was in the area at the weekend. I did Lingmoor Fell only a little one but i enjoyed it and looked back to the Langdales.

Lake District knowledge insane mate - can't wait to get back out there and hopefully back with you, depending on how NZ is looking for you!

Please reply sir to the question...if you can...
Smashing video as always! Just wondering, what is the name of the Mountain Equipment jacket you had on whilst filming the outro?
Thank you very much! 😊
The jacket I was wearing in the outro is the Mountain Equipment Triton Jacket 👍
What trail is this mate? Looking to come up there from Liverpool tomorrow
