Lindholm declined 7 years at $7 million per which at deal's end puts him at 37 years old but who knows if he'd be producing in way that justifies the deal by then. If the B's could land Middleton, he'd be just the kind of nasty, mean D guy presence this unit needs to make the other club not too comfortable in Boston's end. Or Brendan Dillon.
Middleton would be a great addition, put him CMac, which benefits CMac immensely. Takes the onus of CMac having to be both the driver and physical presence on the 1st pairing

All indicators were that he settled in really well in Vancouver liking everything about the location and team so I doubt he wants out so much as wants to see what he can get in free-agency. I like the player and his versatility but wouldn’t be thrilled if we offer him more than that rumoured 7x7 deal.
so who would the Wild want back? Bruins have no prospects...no draft picks this year and no 2nd next year...Wild could use him all season and then get a haul for him at the trade deadline as EVERY cup contender would want him...

Disappeared during the playoffs? He had 10 points in 13 games, won 51% of his faceoffs, had 4 takeaways and no giveaways, played 18 minutes a night, and was a +4. He was the second best forward on the team. He had a below average regular season for him which likely cost him a lot of money. But then earned virtually all of it back during the playoffs. So yeah not only did he not vanish in the playoffs he put on a show of what he can do. You should probably pay more attention so you look less foolish.

Lindholm is a high end second line center on most teams. He just got traded to a team that already had two high end production centers in a move that really made no sense.
