Just put a few excavators with some “dirt” in the empty sections as a quick construction site till a new modular building magically is ready to swap in.
City is looking so great! I can’t remember if you said you wanted to make some sort of sports field, but that open space next to the university would be the perfect spot for something cool and custom! Keep up the good work as always!
Love your city! You might consider eliminating the road on the right side of the Kwik-E Mart in the future to add more buildings. The road running behind it can link up to the ramp for the upper level.
In some of the roads, you should add potholes or a car that hit a pothole and has to change his tire on the side of the road. Details like that would be awesome
I agree with rotating the train station but without moving your tracks. Looking at the amount of studs, it should fit and would allow for a more classic entrance to a renovated heritage building
7:46 would be cool to expand the yard for the tuning workshop right up to the train track and add more moterbiles for Sale or to be fixed and maybe a broken car the ideas are endless
I might have a solution for the weird baseplate behind the train station. Maybe you could make a custom bus station in the same style, would make sense too for minifigs going from downtown to the bowling alley, going further towards the amusement park. Your city is starting to look a lot like what I imagine a perfect Lego city to look like, keep it up
Swapping the bowling alley and quik 'e mart is a great change. The new configuration is looking really good. I wouldn't rush to put buildings behind the train station. A little bit of tree and greenery would fit nicely there.
The spot you have for parking next to Modular’s would be great for a parking lot entrance for the amusement park. Implying the gap in tables is a parking lot would save your bricks and help explain why the gap is there.
In the empty space next to the amusement park it could be really cool doing like a food truck market with some cool lights hanging over with a bunch of cool scenes. The city is really coming together great i love it, keep it going!!!
The dog park is a great idea. As for kwik-e-mart, it just seems wasteful to have roads on all 4 sides. Backing it up to something would open more space or doing a side entrance into the lot to eliminate the front road just would help free space up.
Hi bricksie! Absolutely LOVE your city! I think it would be so cool if u got a little tiny RC car and drove around the city as if we were lego people! haha :O
Dang Mr and Mrs Briksie - so amazing creative beyond the meaning of the word of creativity . Yeah I am a story tellers and one day I might be able to get the shelves and such ready for my Lego story. Until that time - well I can enjoy seeing my builds and fell calm and proud of "look what I did". Well done the two of you well done.
Love what you do and how the city is coming together! I think it would be cool if you expanded the university by a half or full baseplate, and build a big parking lot for it to fill in the open green space!!
I feel like the university should switch with the botanical garden. Would give a good space to make a really detailed court yard, and makes more sense away from an amusement park.
Awesome update!! The city is really expanding fast. It's crazy that by rearranging a few things it looks so much different. Love the details part, the rounded curb by the gas station looks so good too. Little bit of green space in the downtown goes a long way, breaks open the taller buildings, dog park will be epic.
Bowling Alley is much better there! What about sliding the haunted house over to the tuning garage, and then extending the road from the tunnel to go straight off the table. you'd have an epic crossing over 3 tracks, and there are simply too many closed loops in your city. you need to create the illusion of the city extending onwards! Love the channel! Adam
Just a thought, rather than turning the train station around, you could try to mirror the veranda / entrance build from the left side to be on both sides of the building. It would look more symmetrical and fill in some of that oddly-shaped green space. Keep up the great work on the city!
Suggestion; When you are around 01:20 you see the vaults going up the ramp to the right of you. Perhaps they should get shorter by having a horisontal bottom a couple of plates above the ramp…? I do hope I make sense here, the way they are now they have a small gap to loose pieces in.
Just an idea what about adding a small hockey rink somewhere maybe in the winter village - with Minifigs playing hockey and people watching and cheering
You could turn the other side of the train station into a big parking lot and then have a big car meet with tons of stories. Not many Lego cities have huge parking lots, and you could tell so many stories with that
Hey Jordan, I see 2 issues that need fixing: 1. The botanical garden needs to be lowered to match up with the residential area and 2. the road connection with the hill to the road in the downtown area!
I think for Studgate station, instead of making some unrelated buildings to go round the back of it, you should modify it, make a second entrance (Can often get into stations here from both sides). Then maybe add a bus transfer station next to it. Or a little park with a news kiosk, or toilets, or a cafe. Maybe given the amount of space you could have a bus or two one side of the new entrance and a little cafe kiosk the other side. That would be my choice anyway. City is overall looking fantastic though, keep up the great work
that small gap between the seals and birds could be a way up to the botanical garden, with an elevated view of the zoo; and up there the zoo could have another entrance
I loved the TEAM work... I like the newer placement of the modulars, knowing some will probably change...lol. I ❤ the detail phase...my fav! Leg godt!! Thank you !
First of all: thanks for the great and creative work of both of you and your wife! 👍 I like the ongoing Changes of Bricksie-City a lot. But one little suggestion for the arctic enclosure of the zoo: the penguin exibit, especially the water is way too small! I think it needs to be redone... Keep both of you go on with your fantastic work and ideas!! Best wishes from Germany!! 💪🍀😘
You should put one of the red phone boxes in view of the amusement park ferris wheel in the distance, and have minifigs lining up to take the perfect insta selfie
I definitely love the new edition to the downtown area!! I always thought it should have been a urban shopping area, as well a place for the schools. Right outside downtown like it is in most cities haha. I cant wait to see what gets added to it, as Im sure theyll be some new sets youll want to build and add to really get it looking busy. I really think the Ninjago area is looking more and more out of place or rather the uniqueness and presence is has will be swallowed up by the new urban area and suburb on the elevated section
Loving the updates! Can I make a small request? Is there any way you could put a couple of mini figures in the sky walk bridge at the front of the city? I think it would be so nice to look in there and see a little scene.
Maybe put the bowling alloy lot behind the bowling alley, and move alley to street, to eliminate the island of sidewalk, and give the bowling alley as a main view, and thr back lot can be used for peaking for all modular in the area. I used to go to a bowling with street frontage and parking on side/back.
Great city update. The dog park and seating area is a wonderful idea. Have you thought about building a multi storey car park for the amusement park. For the train station you could add a grand modular entrance to it. I love how the zoo is coming along.
You should add a lot, I mean a lot, of vegetation in the open greenery. Like in the camp area, you could put small grass and large grass pieces. Or flowers
No reason you couldn't have an entrance/exit on both sides of the train station. A taxi/bus/shuttle stand could work on the open side as well. People could be coming out to the residential area from the downtown or completely out of the city by train. Or they work at the amusement park and need the shuttle to get there from the train. Lots of possibilities.
I like the dog park! I was going to suggest putting a fire hydrant in the dog park, but I'm sure the hydrant would not like that. Could you someday add a Cat Cafe in the city?
I used a make-up brush too . Then I tried a paint brush , a one inch wide brush I found to be my favorite . But if you're doing well with the make-up brush , stick to it
You should put a roller cart underneath the tables so you can get around easier and attack ropes around to easily pull yourself along idk i can only imagine your knees after a long day
I love the changes!! You've done so much in the last few weeks and it's all looking so good! I'm not a huge fan of the tuning shop at the front, it's kind of taking "prime real estate" as a viewer. I understand the need for carparks for a "realistic" cities but they are so grey and take up so much space, I think it would be better to make some kind of signage that points to underground parking or even parking under the mountains. You could also do underground parking around the subway to remove the need for it above and around the city.
@Bricksie, you need the Lego store in the downtown where it was before, looks so much better there, could always double the Lego store to heighten it up, you do get upstair Lego stores 😊
I would love to see a 4 baseplate university now that you have so much more space. It would actually make it look like a university instead of a church looking thing
Here is an idea for either the outer residential area or pop culture street or the county side area a double sized x mansion so it could fit with the other marvel modulars
Still need to sort the road connection to that ramp.... and where are the cats? - You can't have dogs and no cats! If you open the Tuning shop rear door it might make it more interesting to look at.
Have you thought about creating a “haunted” area? The haunted houses always seem to be out of place, might be cool to have somewhere to place all the spooky stuff (Sanderson house/etc).
Hey @ Bricksie , can you provide some instructions on those Lego Road Curves and T intersections ? I have looked everywhere and had no success. You have made a video before but I do not believe the T intersections was clearly discussed. Also, have you thought of an industrial Air Cleaner for the dust ? I have incorporated two Blue Air products in my Lego room . I do not think I have dusted since . I know your space is much larger , so not sure your options . Thanks Sir , its always a joy to watch you and J build and develop . Hope all is well with you guys and the little ones. Thanks
If only I could place the Pop Culture Street on the elevated platforms and residential area where the Pop Culture Street currently is. It’s your absolute trademark and really could stand out there
Would you think about moving the university up near the residential area? Would look great up high As regards the parking lot for the amusement park, would you make a custom multi storey car park?
This could be interesting, turning the haunted house on the baseplate so the yard isnt in front but to the side of the house so the house faces the road
Great minds think alike! I ordered all the Lego Dogs last week to make a Dog Park too! (Set#:col19-9 is perfect for this!) I use Brickset to record my inventory and noticed that some Dogs were missing from their database and have submitted tickets for all their missing entries. Hopefully these get approved soon to help everyone else out! :)
Amazing step forward! Love the new downtown. About the Simpson mart, is there a better way to allocate those 16 base plates? The mart is already 4 plates and then you used 12 roads, looks a lot
Maybe it's because I got a full night's sleep, or because I drank a strong cup off coffee, but your city is looking GREAT and I'm pumped to see the growth!!
Does LEGO have a "chainlink fence" part?? I´m thinking like the 1x5x6 wallpanels but in a "netgrid", that would look cool around the tuning shop with some junk, containers and parts for ambience....
I was just about to comment that it needs a sports field
Love your city! You might consider eliminating the road on the right side of the Kwik-E Mart in the future to add more buildings. The road running behind it can link up to the ramp for the upper level.
I was thinking they could rotate the Kwik-E 45 degrees and eliminate the road that serves the entrance
Totally agree, there seems to be enough space.
You should also put a small playground for kids next to the dog park so there can also be a “people park”
Or maybe you can put the people park by the stud gate train station opposite from the parking
Your city is starting to look a lot like what I imagine a perfect Lego city to look like, keep it up
Don't forget the hydrant and the mailman in the dog park.
Do they make a Where's Waldo minifigure? Spotting Waldo in each Lego city update would be awesome.
from hockey fan to other, where is a Bricksie Arena?
Swapping the bowling alley and quik 'e mart is a great change. The new configuration is looking really good. I wouldn't rush to put buildings behind the train station. A little bit of tree and greenery would fit nicely there.
Dog park sounds awesome! Good job as always!
new video horay! love the new layout
The simple answer is that your work holes are parking lots. :)
The spot you have for parking next to Modular’s would be great for a parking lot entrance for the amusement park. Implying the gap in tables is a parking lot would save your bricks and help explain why the gap is there.
I mentioned not being a fan of that ring road before, so just wanted to say love what you've done here worked out so well!
It might be a great idea to expand the university by incorporating a few more buildings to make a larger campus.
Sets in the City = sounds like a new TV series Wahoo 🙂
That top view perspective is amazing, crazy how al this Lego looks.
It's great to hear the enthusiasm and joy in your voice again, a lovely start to the day for me.
Build an Ikea!!!
OMG…..WOW and AWESOME WORK!
Hi bricksie! Absolutely LOVE your city! I think it would be so cool if u got a little tiny RC car and drove around the city as if we were lego people! haha :O
The bowling alley relocation was a great idea it looks perfect there!!
You should make a story on Pop culture street that includes a Fire Hydrant being broken and water shooting straight up in the air!
Looking epic. Your renewed enthusiasm for the city is clearly evident 😊
Would be nice to have a Superman coming out of one of those red phone booths on pop culture street.
love the changes! i still think the up house should be next to the construction site lol
Loving how you responded to suggestions regarding the ring road around the Kwik-E-Mart.
City is looking amazing now 🤩
I feel like the university should switch with the botanical garden. Would give a good space to make a really detailed court yard, and makes more sense away from an amusement park.
I’d love to see a mall at the new area would be perfect for your city!
Awesome update!! The city is really expanding fast. It's crazy that by rearranging a few things it looks so much different. Super cool video
Turning the station is a great idea, you should do it for sure, trust me
A cemetery could fill some of the space behind the train station, would also blend in perfectly with the spooky mansion
Is there a airport in the future? That'd be fine addition imo
Just a thought, rather than turning the train station around, you could try to mirror the veranda / entrance build from the left side to be on both sides of the building. It would look more symmetrical and fill in some of that oddly-shaped green space. Keep up the great work on the city!

so nice , the city is so cool now ... its going to be perfectest! lego city in all the world!!!!
that small gap between the seals and birds could be a way up to the botanical garden, with an elevated view of the zoo; and up there the zoo could have another entrance
Please add some agility obstacles to the dog park 😊
I loved the TEAM work... I like the newer placement of the modulars, knowing some will probably change...lol. I ❤ the detail phase...my fav! Leg godt!! Thank you !
First of all: thanks for the great and creative work of both of you and your wife! 👍

I think it needs to be redone...
Keep both of you go on with your fantastic work and ideas!!

Much better arrangement of the city!! Very colorful, and details everywhere! I love the direction your headed in!! Cheers!!!

I agree with the comment about the train station, and I believe it can be changed without rebuilding the train tracks.

dont think i'd want to watch dawgs do their 'business' while dining outside!!
the city is pretty much perfect layout so far. im really looking forwards too how the xmansion estate will look in future
The City changes are awesome.
You should put a roller cart underneath the tables so you can get around easier and attack ropes around to easily pull yourself along idk i can only imagine your knees after a long day
Good update video, feels like the videos pre-move. Also, the city is looking great!
I love the changes!! You've done so much in the last few weeks and it's all looking so good!

Kwik-E-Mart in the same position as when Apu is on the roof of the Simpson's house singing 'Who Needs the Kwik-E-Mart'!! 😍
Looks great! ❤
Go team bricksie awesome modulars trains and city are
Keep up the good work Mr. Bricksie!
I really like the new layout as well
City is looking amazing!! Love the details and the buildings look great 🎉
the Lego city is so spectacular

double sided train station would be cool
Only change I would make is to swap the pull in direction for the bowling alley parking lot.
Does LEGO have a "chainlink fence" part?? I´m thinking like the 1x5x6 wallpanels but in a "netgrid", that would look cool around the tuning shop with some junk, containers and parts for ambience....
Love the new placement for the University, it didn't fit in the Downtown core. Why not creating a Quidditch field next to it?
i love it!
