over the years watain has become such a powerful band and im glad, that they are around. it has a nice raw feeling and they develop this kind of raw sound very well. you can always hear it is watain. rly good thx for sharing, great song btw.

Also the last part that starts with The Yonder Beckons, is a direct reference to theThe Devil's Blood song with the same name. Erik also wrote the lyrics for that song 14 years ago. I do not know for whom he dedicated this song exactly. Maybe for both.
@@musab9334 When the album first came out I had the exact same thoughts that you have expressed here (especially the link between the last part of the lyrics and the song The Yonder Beckons by TDB). I think those lyrics are dedicated more to the journey (beyond) itself rather than for themselves, a hymn or "funeral chant" in the same way Waters of Ain would be.
They are sooooo good live. The injection of H. Death and E. Forcas truly has made Watain into an even stronger live force. Håkan was and is a great song writer but lacks the precision and force that Emil possesses. Set Teitan was great but was never as tight as Hampe.
This vid does not even come close to the real power of a Watain live ritual performance...but alas...you need to experience for yourself if you have the balls....
