  • In Part 1, Greg takes us through the building of the Uxbridge & Haliburton Branch of the Canadian National Railway circa October 1957. This HO Scale layout focuses on the town of Lindsay Ontario where trains meet from Midland, Haliburton, Scarboro Junction and Belleville. Lots of steam era railroading and the tour through the layout provides great insight into the modelling and the operations. Greg has a passion for trains and in particular Lindsay station where he visited his grandparents who lived just behind and across the street.

That layout is replaced now with a newer and better version. The room was upgraded and a better track plan and operations. Check out the latest posts of his new layout.

Beautiful layout! He has a lot cool structures and very realistic scenery but very tight isles ways. Anyway thanks for sharing. RT

retrainrun The isles are a product of the dogbone design. However we have to compromise if we need the layout space. It is something we all have to consider when building a layout. glad you enjoyed the vids

+Electrotract Greetings from Canada mate. Nice to see a Canadian prototype built down under. I am sure it will be a hit with the visitors. What part of Canada are you modelling.

Well im inspired by the Ontario Northland would you believe! I was thinking about some of the station design based on Moosonee but using CN stuff mainly(modellers license!)
