Ditto my dream front bumper doesn't exist anymore and i doubt there are any used ones available here or Japan so in going to build my own mold. Motivated by this channel but im going to di like him and use a lot of resources
This dude is legit a car guy. Dirt and dust mixed with elbow grease and patience. Sprinkle a little a love on top, I'm diggin it! This thing is gonna be crazy lookin and it appears that your wife likes to tease you.
I love the work you do and inspired me to do my own channel, thank you! As for the wheels issue I recommend resealing it anyway, air shouldn't be leaking even with slightly loose bolts. After sealing a wheel wait for a week before putting tires on and pressurizing it. Also feel free to use something stronger than regular silicone, while it does work you'll have an easier time getting a perfect seal with the stickier stuff like Würth Bond+Seal which is like a seam sealer. I stopped using any silicone and sealer between the halves and go straight on the seam only. The best thing would be a small tq wrench for the bolts and nuts and bring em to 24nm without anything on the threads, neither loctite nor spilled silicone as I've had an overtightened bolt pop while the wheel was on the car before! Again, appreciate the content you're putting out!
I'm more impressed with your patience than the build tbh. I'm not bashing your build, that thing is sick. It's your patience that you have with your kids that is over the moon. 10/10 dad
Your builds are so awesome I cant wait till I can start the body process of my build. I found your channel when I was making my first fiberglass part and you've answered so many of the questions that I've had the no one else did. Your new experimentation is also super helpful. Thank you for the work you do and I cant wait to start my own widebody series!
I love seeing your kids involved with these builds. It's the life of a parent and I can remember being the kid that kept interrupting the things my parents where doing. It's how I learned all the stuff I now know. Keep up the good work👍👍
Three easy ways to lower the MGB front suspension 1. Use a chrome bumper car front crossmember. This will give you about 1" drop. They were raised by 1" when the rubber bumpers were added 2. Use lowered coil springs available from Moss Motors etc. 3. There are 1" drop spindles available or you can modify yours There are negative camber a-arms availabe as well as eccentric bushings to help with alignment once you have lowered it. I'm currently building a 76 MGB roadster with a Nissan L28 swap.
Thing looks so goofy with cut fenders but im real hyped to keep watching it! Also your kids are really funny and i love it when they make an appearance
Take your time, do it to the best of your ability, dont rush yourself man. Good things take time. Were gonna be here waiting for the result no matter how long it takes you
@AClockHead103 yes, they really do have a great support, but just want to make something unique and more personalized to me. Btw, in regards to your pfp, a remake/remaster of that game would be killer for next gen consoles lol
The ignition timing is off on that engine you can hear it skip a cylinder at idle, I know your changing it but if you set the static timing so it will start easier for you. From memory I think it's 10 degrees btdc, should be marks on timing cover long one is tdc small ones are I think 5degrees btdc each. Check the manual tho haven't worked on an mg in a while. Good work on the plugs for a while there I thought you were going to run those as actual body panels with tape wood and gypsum etc 😂 thank goodness. Awesome little mechanics makes me smile every time reminds me of my two boys at that age.
If you like the drywall mud, you could try using Drywall fast set/concrete fill it comes as a powder and you mix it with water, and hardens in 30- 45 mins. but it dose have a slightly rougher finish.
What I read about boxer engines they are very large obviously in and width and it's hard to shoehorn them in. Something to do specifically with the steering column. I like the idea I'm all about low center of gravity
You don’t have to wait for the Sheetrock compound to dry, pick up a bag of 15 minute (or 45 minute) compound & mix it in small batches...dries to sand in 15-20 minutes.
I have to check my 3 piece rims. I'm in same boat as you. I made the big mistake of making the widebody kit with low tires. Had to fix the whole thing. But my tires still getting low every few days.
Look up online “big kid blocks” they are acrylic sanding blocks that come in sets and they are really great and get the job done we use them every day at the body shop I work at
Someone needs to send you some propper bodywork sanding blocks man itll make your work so much better and easier if you had propper flat blocks, long blocks and contour blocks
Yes! This man is right. It is called setting type joint compound. They have it in 5, 20, 45, or 90 minute setting times. Comes dry in a bag and you just mix what you need with water in your mud pan.
did you put the car weight on the tires to see if it leaks with more pressure? Just an advice buddy. Love the vids, you look like a great example for your kids, GOOD job dude
Kaleb started the Channel about cars but ending up teaching us how to be a patient loving father. You're setting such a great example
Lit, totally true
The dialogue between you and the little mechanics is just hilarious
“It’s kind of stinky.”
“You want to touch it?”
“Yeah.”
😂😂😂
Those boys really make this channel !!! 🤣🤣
Really toxic stuff they played with
@@mortenmetz Can you prove it?
Dude you cut that fender well with the confidence of Akira Nakai! Sick!
The amount of patience you have doing all this work and having kids screaming is amazing lol. You’re a good dad man 👏
I wish I could find employees with the patience and dedication of this guy. Would make my job so much easier.
this project has inspired me to built my own wide body car
Except its a hot wheels lol
Ditto my dream front bumper doesn't exist anymore and i doubt there are any used ones available here or Japan so in going to build my own mold. Motivated by this channel but im going to di like him and use a lot of resources
Lmao your patience with your kids is awesome, so cool that they love hanging out with you while you work.
This dude is legit a car guy. Dirt and dust mixed with elbow grease and patience. Sprinkle a little a love on top, I'm diggin it! This thing is gonna be crazy lookin and it appears that your wife likes to tease you.
Man I wish I were these kids sometimes. Like my dad showed me how to change a tire and oil. But building body kits? That’s awesome

Hell yeah built, love seeing you do great work and the little apprentices are too darn cute.😂
Has some gasser vibes with the front arches cutaway like that.
I'm more impressed with your patience than the build tbh. I'm not bashing your build, that thing is sick. It's your patience that you have with your kids that is over the moon. 10/10 dad

Also spotted first building technics from builder creator! 👌🏻

Hey man your kids, have me laughing so hard, because I have to go through the same with mine when I'm building. I salute u from one dad to another!
Let’s get it always look forward to these videos

Hahaha the dust free solution with the blower was funny😄 keep it going!
hey bro any update on the fatsun
Best option might be to bin the MG! great project/channel and hope you get it finished. I look forward to updates.
The reverse gate on most MGB's is a heavy operation.
The early MGB's (chrome bumper) sat low to the ground!
You motivate me to make a body kit for the e30
@AClockHead103 yes, they really do have a great support, but just want to make something unique and more personalized to me.
Btw, in regards to your pfp, a remake/remaster of that game would be killer for next gen consoles lol
@@shadowXe123 do it. I'm making a widebody mercedes r129 on my channel but just sold my e30. Was planning to do custom widebody before selling.

At some point you should definitely do like a deep clean of both garages, would make an awesome video!!
Great to see you moving to the next level with your moldings! You'll be getting requests to reproduce and sell this kit.
Glad you’re pulling a mold, awesome build
Great job I like how you go in on this phase. Don't forget to seal and clean up that fender cut
Love those boys of yours. I'm not sure about the fenders yet...But looking forward to seeing the outcome.
Very cool man looking forward to see how you pull the molds.😀😀😀😀

WRX engine swap would be beautiful, loads of torque and imp, one of the best sounding engines out there for not a huge amount of money.
What I read about boxer engines they are very large obviously in and width and it's hard to shoehorn them in. Something to do specifically with the steering column. I like the idea I'm all about low center of gravity
your children are hilarious. 10/10 wholesome car children content
Plaster Of Paris drys fast and sands easily, great for plugs. I made a full kit for my car in the 80's
Probably should have used Eastwood roll on primer/sealer. It’s usually a DTM but it would give you a great finish to pull a mold.
Never ever have seen such a huge fender cutout but great work mate🔥💯
i love this stage where its in a million other colors and stuff

What are you planning to do to the exposed metal on the fender to stop it rusting? Love the build by the way watching from england
I have to check my 3 piece rims. I'm in same boat as you. I made the big mistake of making the widebody kit with low tires. Had to fix the whole thing. But my tires still getting low every few days.
Can't wait to see till end 😁😍💯🙏💪🔥

Nice work so far brotha!
Someone needs to send you some propper bodywork sanding blocks man itll make your work so much better and easier if you had propper flat blocks, long blocks and contour blocks
Would transplanting a Miata engine and trans in be an easy solution?
Maybe not "easy " but I bet it would fit well, and if you get like a 94' power train they are supposed to respond well to custom tunes.
Workin with kids is so rewarding 😅 my elder one scratched my Toyota bB because he wanted to help
17:13 clearance shouldn’t be an issue 😂😂😂
I saw this comment before I got to that part. Now I see 🤣🤣🤣
you have to use the 5 minute from lowes that dries really fast we use it for drywall
Yes! This man is right. It is called setting type joint compound. They have it in 5, 20, 45, or 90 minute setting times. Comes dry in a bag and you just mix what you need with water in your mud pan.
Inspirational content man! Love your work! Keep it up
Man love what your doing with the mgbgt. I wanted to do the same thing with one of these. Keep it up and love the videos.
Blowing dust from one side of room to other side of room isnt DUST FREE LOL
@18:33 looks baja-ready!
Pontiac Solstice turbo engine swap coming up, maybe?
Don't know if you had bubble issues with the epoxy, but if you did hitting it with a torch will take the bubbles out. Love the videos!
Are you going to put a lip along the top of the bumper on the inside to connect the fenders to?
You have what’s called an organized mess !
Miata 1.8L engine you can turbo them and make like 450 whp easy
No way stock with a Big turbo look for example Jimmy Broadbent's one which makes 336hp
Love your work
When you first cut the guards, I was sitting here thinking: "I kinda want to see an MGB Pre-Runner build now"!
Try and add cream Hardner to the dry wall putty 🤔
love this channel and your videos
There is not one person in the comment section that is a bigger fan of kaleb and his work than his kids!!
Kinda digging the offroad monster truck vibe for this car lol
You don't give up no matter what
Pro builder. Pro Dad.
Did you use thread lock on the rim bolts to stop them coming loose?
The kids make this video epic
this ma deserves more followers
I commend you on your work, well done but is their a market for mg wide body kits
Noti squad!
Are you sure you don't want to go Dakar spec? That looks awesome! @18.36
#1 💪🏼
Damn, man got sonic to sponser him 👌
did you put the car weight on the tires to see if it leaks with more pressure? Just an advice buddy.
Love the vids, you look like a great example for your kids, GOOD job dude
Spray primer on the edge of the fenders, it won't rust in future
Sick. When’s there’s gonna be another Datsun video bro?
You can use hot mud which will dry in 15-30 minutes, you just mix water and it creates a chemical reaction which basically it starts to cure
Instructions : No dust work area
Built Official : so we’re gonna handle that
* blows it all with a bazooka of a blower*
Star trekking across the universe, always going forwards cos he can't find reverse 😁
For your next project you should do a v8 ford maverick
He really likes sanding
It’s all about the prep. Painful but it’s worth it 🤙
I really have sympathy for you poor man
It's coming along! When do we get to see the back get built?? 🙏
I don't know the make up of this vehicle but what about a body drop if the suspension is an issue?
Would you ever make a carbon fiber bumper ?
Instead of cutting of the part, I suggest for your next project to make all the body part fully fiberglass... It would be interesting...
Looks like a Baja MGB when u cut the bumper/fenders off. #MGBaja
DON'T EVER USE PREMIXED DRYWALL COMPOUND!! No matter what you do, moisture will get into it and it will fail.
still missing the Fatsun XD
@Josh I doubt that with the amount of work that has gone into it so far.
@Josh but I bet/hope it is still on the back burner to finish one day.
Are you going try to straighten out the front where it’s been hit and twisted?
I'm pretty excited to see how this car turns out, how much of the rust is going to get cut out with the wide body?
If u use heat gun on the epoxy, u pull all the bubbles out and it self level 😀😀
Check out bod vision change with his fiber glass
Did you try blue thread lock on the wheels
Really want to see to fatsun Finnish bro that thing what looking killer
fairlady hotwheels !!
His patience is insanely high😂
Can you swap 1.8t from audi a4 ? good for tuning.
