I can not wait for Friday! My daughter turns 21 on the solstice and I also ordered The Mists of Avalon for the evening and have all supplies to make bread, cakes and little sip of something festive! Blessings!
The cottage is so inviting and enchanting....I think your clocks are all off because of the mounds of creative energy swirls that are spinning out into the world from Mother Earth through you Collette and your cottage is the vortex... Jack happily running around, all the colors and the birdsong add to the festivity of solstice. Blessings to you!!
I love the idea with the weels on the crate and the mirror screwed on like that. :-) I also love the sweater you are knitting. I am currently knitting one myself. It will be a norwegian style sweater. I also have two more WIPs: a pair of socks and a crochet shawl. :-) When I saw the footage about your clocks, I immadiately thought of the "Whee little people" or whatever you call them in Ireland, gnomes or elves?. I think you might have some living with you in the cottage, playing mischief ;--) lol.
Dear Colette , you are a very hardworking woman . Please take care of yourself . I wish you and your guests a nice solstice . Best regards and many hugs for you , Jack and your loved ones from Conny Braun and cat Felix from Germany .
Very strange about the clocks! Good thing you don't need any of them for an alarm clock, you might be waking up half past noon or something ;) On your sweater that you're working on, I'm the same way with my drawing and painting these days. I'll start something and sometimes not finish it for almost a year. But its just for fun so no harm in working on it only once in a while.
I received my book. I enjoyed it so much I read it in one sitting and ordered another as a gift! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Winter Solstice!
That made me laugh about the clocks. It's the same in my house - it's a standing joke in my family that it's a different time zone in every room! The jumper looks lovely - the colours you are knitting it in are gorgeous. Happy Solstice! Blessings to you both x
@@bealtainecottage Thank you so much. I hope you do not mind but I am going to look for the colour you are using: I just love the fresh greens with the touch of warmth from the red. Glorious. I shall think of Bealtaine all the time I am knitting and then wearing the jumper. xx
Good day to u Colette and so enjoy ur video. I just found u and so enjoy listening to u and taking a walk around ur homestead. Jack is so sweet and lovely. Take care, have a wonderful Solstice and will keep enjoying ur video's. xoxoxo
Colette, this video is so funny!! thank you.... needed that. Now that you've caught us up on your latest activities and chores I'm going to get off my very relaxed duff and get busy. Thanks for that motivation too! Love to you and Jack.
Love your home and decorations, very neat and tidy... Lovely.... Always learn lot from you. Nice pattern of jumper. Pls post after completing. I also love doing knitting and crochet. Lots of love from India.
Your energy and accomplishment in this video so inspired and buoyed me that I have at last tackled a host of little tasks that have been calling for ages. Just to move and tidy and straighten and dust and wipe creates such an overall positive effect, a general atmosphere that says, "Hi! Welcome!!" Thank for for that, very much. (Not to mention sending needful emails and doing virtual on-line tasks, as well.) Yikes! What's next? Actual NEATNESS?!?! :)
I just love your cottage, Colette. It's so comfy and cozy. And the cacophony of color is WONDERFUL! Very clever conversion of that crate...and very useful. :-D Not to worry about timing with your knitting...we all have UFOs that we can look forward to keeping us busy well into the future. Lately I've been ignoring those, tho', and opting for instant gratification with knitting and crocheting dish rags. :-D Love that sweater pattern, incidentally. As for the crazy clocks: maybe you need to get a sundial. hee hee hee. Anyway, when you have a lovely universe like yours to live in, who needs to know the exact time of day--or night--it is? I think you've created your own 'time-zone,' that's why the 'poor' clocks are so confused. :-D Let me just say, that you are the true illustration of a "steward of the land!" If I don't comment again before Friday, Have a Happy and Glorious Solstice celebration!! Blessed Be YOU!
Very nice jumper, i love that green wool yarn! I want to say thank you Colette. You have been such an inspiration to me. I bought myself a juicer online for a very good deal on black friday. I'm sitting here having fresh veg juice for dinner. I will sort of ease my way into juice fasting? and hope it helps my chemical sensitivity. At least i hope to shed a few pounds. Solstice blessings my friend.
Love the clocks! They are just telling Irish time Colette! I think you may be on an energy line. Your little car should last you many years, my little Toyota is 18 years old and just passed its MOT here in the UK, only needed a light bulb! Good to keep busy x
Bealtaine cottage might be sitting on a ley line or an energy vortex and perhaps that energy line is causing your clocks to be all wonky. Ley lines criss cross the globe and most ancient sites and churches are built on them. A dowser could tell you just by walking the land with a pendulum or willow Y-stick. Just a possibility, since your place is very old. :)
You know, my baby brother is 32 and he can not wear a watch because every single battery dies only after a few hours. We always wondered why this is so...
Cottages are a life style. They really demand a lot of time. Maybe the cottage just doesn't want you to know how much time. They are old, wise and living little things. They also have a since of humour. Mine likes to dump water on husband's bald head. Especially the gutters. I swear it laughs at him. C from the little cottage
I have a huge Yucca. So far I haven't found any tool that will cut the leaves back neatly like yours. Maybe sometime you might tell what you use . Reckon ??
Lol, The clocks are telling you time does not matter. Have a lovely timeless visit with your loves.
I think time has stopped in your sanctuary lovely to hear the birds Blessings to you Colette and Jack xx

I must say the clock situation is quite comical, although by now it may have straightened itself out. Your home looked beautiful that year. Blessings.
I once took three years to finish knitting a scarf. :) Blessed Solstice to you!

The clock's misbehaving is the energy on your property, absolutely! Time is just a construct anyway ;)
Time Warp!
None of the clocks in our house tell the same time either! :)

My mother could not wear a watch they all stopped with in a few hours
All my clocks are the same...a different time on each.
