    Okay, now THIS is a good review. I've been critical of some of your other reviews for reasons that should be clear in those comments. This review is very different. It's honest and reasonably thorough. The audio is MUCH, MUCH better (Yay!!!!). The outdoor range is a lot safer than the setup on some of your other videos. This is a very useful and informative review. Thanks! I had the same misgivings you did when I saw the broadhead. Chief among my concerns was the potential loss of energy when the momentum of the arrow is consumed folding the blades back against the spring.
    I'd still like to understand how effective the blades are at opening against resistance since there isn't any between the layers of MDF in your test -- they're opening into air. But I'm at least more willing to give the Zeus a look after seeing your really solid review.

      Thanks brother. Yeah, you cannot go wrong with the Exodus and Magnus. Those are both great broadheads. I just shot the Exodus into this MDF last night and it penetrated really well--not quite as far as the Zeus, but the blades don't collapse on it either.

    Bought three and a practice/small game Zeus Broadhead for a new bow hunter . They flew well for him but shooting them into my Reinhardt buck target they were close to impossible to pull out. I always practice with the heads I use in the field and told the new bow hunter he should also. He’s a big young strong guy and we ended up pulling the inserts out of his arrows trying to get the Zeus heads out .

      Yeah, I had that experience with a Rinehard as well. I've found the Sevr HD targets are way way easier to pull broadheads from.

    You had me at 60 and 80 yards! I'm totally impressed with the accuracy of these heads. Did you have to tune your bow to these heads or did they fly like that right out of the box? Also, the spring concept seems to work very well. You put them through a tough test and they passed with high marks! I would like to see how they work on a hog!

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 роки тому

      Haha. That is a good question. I'll be honest. First of all, many heads will get the job done; I've been impressed with quite a few and would have no hesitation to use them. Second, I vary the head based on the animal I am hunting and the distance I am going to shoot it at. But overall, my favorite Mechs are the Sevr 1.5 or 1.7 and the Afflictor Hybrid. And my favorite Fixed are the Iron Will and the Tooth of the Arrow and the Exodus. Those are all extra excellent heads. And my quiver usually has a combination of them. I also have a discount code for Sevr: LUSKFIVE will get you $5 off any order and can be used with any other of their site discounts too. For Tooth of the Arrow: LUSK19 will get you a 15% discount. I will be getting a code for Afflictor and for Iron Will soon as well. :)

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  5 років тому

      Yes it will. Good observation. There's a lot of good thought behind this head. I would like to shoot a hog with it or a doe to see how much the blades re-open after hitting bone or tough tissue, so I can see how big the exit hole is. But they sure do fly and penetrate well.

      I used to shoot them. They are good heads, but there are some way better. For the price, the Cutthroats are the best single bevel I've ever tested--incredibly tough. I did a big test of single bevels called, "Broadhead Battle Light Heavyweight Round, or something like that that shows them. The Bishops are the best, but they are much more expensive.

    You know it looks like a really good Broadhead but there is no way in the world that that is Field Point accuracy with an inch and a half blade sticking out the front there's no way it can be that way I'm not saying the Broadhead isn't any good but you'll have to resight it in I've been doing this for over 40 years and any blades stick out like that we'll be caught in the wind and it will not fly like a field tip you may have gotten pretty good at or see out of that Broadhead but you didn't shoot a field tip first to show us the difference

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  5 років тому

      Thanks for watching, as always, Don. I can tell you they flew exactly like field points for me, out to 80 yds. I didn't change anything. But that means they were like field points within my shooting abilities. At 80 yds, I'm good with about a 4" group of field points.
